The Rant! Thread
I'll add idiots who drive round with their fog light on when there is no fog. I once pulled up long side a car with their fog light on and called out Dave! Dave! is that you? He said "Sorry mate I'm not Dave" "Oh it was hard to tell with this fog" I say "its not Foggy" He said "Then why do you have your fog lights on?" I asked Luckily he had a sense of humour and we both laughed as he turned them off. I was taught that if you can't see 3 street lamps ahead in fog then you need the fog light on, otherwise you don't need it.

any good scooby garages in the south east?
I know of a few around the Surrey area. it would be a bit of a trip but well worth it. Dan @ Surrey Subaru specialists http://www.surreysubaruspecialists.com/ Stuart @ TFS http://www.tfsracing.co.uk/ James @ Grd http://www.greenwoodracing.co.uk/ I have personally dealt with all three of them and would recommend them. the other option for you would be to check out http://www.southeastscoobies.co.uk/vbulletinforum/index.php it's a club in your local area, although quite a few of the members travel to Dan or Stuart.

Dilute Coolant
Did you put the anti freeze in the long necked yellow cap on the right hand side of the engine that says coolant? Yellow arrow on Pic. If so its just the over flow for the system, there is no return to the system from here. when I 1st got my classic scoob I thought this was for topping up the coolant and spent ages trying to fill the system up from here :)

water in boot
Be sure to check the inner wing, behind the boot liner. I had about 2" of water sitting there.

is my plate gonna be sought after?
Thing is you can get a WRX plate from £400, unless the 1st part of the reg is unique I doubt you'd get much for it. I had M77 WRX scrapped it with the car as no one was Intested in it.

Fuel and Oil Additives
50ltrs 10 Gallons with 10 ltrs 2 gallons of reserve I think.

water in boot
Check for leaks around the spoiler fixing points, if you can jump in the boot with a torch and get a helper to spray the hose over the boot area. Check for water ingress from the inside.

Firewall Grommets for power cable
Spot on that's exactly what I did, then if you want to use the hole you can gaffa tape the cable to the coat hanger and pull it back through. I think they come through above the level of the pedals, may have to fold the carpet down to get to it, cant remember it was so long ago :)

Firewall Grommets for power cable
Look from the engine bay there is a hole/grommet you can use by the brake servo, I used this on my classic for a few gauges, it comes out by the pedals. On my New Age I used the main cable you are talking about, it is possible to use but you'll have to make a hole in the rubber and reseal it with some goo. I used bicycle puncture repair kit. I pushed a piece of thick gauge wire through and then attached the wires I wanted to feed through and pulled it into the engine bay that way.

2015 Forester STI
Not too sure on the front, grill seems a bit too black if you get me. Think the top of the grill below the bonnet needs to be a different colour.

flapping hell!
Don't think its a simple as just cutting a whole in the roof. Ok this is a new age but I doubt its that much difference. http://www.scoobypedia.co.uk/index.php/Projects/InstallingASpecCRoofVent

Looking for an Impreza - Wisdom Needed Please
I've run both nitro and momentum, performance wise nitro does seem to give a little crisper throttle response at least in my mind it does probably a very minuscule amount in reallity. Mpg no noticeable difference, but then I'm doing daily commute no A or M roads. Rewards Momentum far outstrips Nitro who seem to have cut right back on the rewards. Plus filling up with Momentum adds to the club card points you can use on Fuel save.
