  1. Washed the car ready for Prodrive, and bought a no spill dog bowl for use in the car :)
  2. When I took the pics for the overlays yesterday I put the show plates on. This morning I just went to the shops and had forgetten to take the show plate off. Lucky there were no police about
  3. Look great, I would recommend a detango though, swap the front and side indicators for clear ones :) really lifts the car.
  4. So who is actually going on Sunday? I'm looking to get there for about 10 hopefully get somewhere to park.
  5. What I did was get the main part done over the bumps and curves and I left about an inch unstuck from the edge of the light. Then in small sections (about an hands width) I heated and stretched it out towards the edges and used the squeegee to push out towards the edge and fold the vinyl down behind the light. Last thing I did was to give the whole thing a blow over with the hair dryer which seemed to shrink it back a bit for a really good fit. The only place I really had trouble with was the bottom corner of the large light above the wheel arch. Not really happy that I got enough bleed tucked behind it. I was quite lucky in that I was able to get most of the vinyl tucked down behind the lights and didn't need to cut too much off. Also where the soap solution dried on the inside of the vinyl has left a cple of smears on the inside. Weirdly I found the 1st side easier to do than the 2nd one and also easier than the 1st time I tired a few months ago.
  6. You mean the rebel logo :D
  7. Put the red overlays on the rear light clusters. Next plan is to get the wing mirror A pillar triangle thing dipped with a gold carbon. Then I may do the front grill surround and rear spoiler done the same. Before. After. This is kind of the effect I want from the dip.
  8. Got one side done. So much easier with a hair dryer. Took about an 1 1/2 a side. Much easier using a hair dryer and even being in the sun helped to keep the vinyl supple. Before. After. Yes it does need a clean
  9. Quick heads up if anyone was planning on taking the dog. Prodrive have advised not to bring dogs as they have mating swans on site and the male is pretty aggressive so best to leave dogs at home.
  10. Same as the classic remove rear seat both parts. Then you can lift the rear parcel shelf up by the middle as you need it to bend a bit to pull it out from under the c pillar trim. I replaced the stock speakers with 16x9's with very little trouble, I had to cut the holes in the shelf a little bit larger just and drill new holes. The parcel shelf when stright back on using the factory grills so it was completely hidden.
  11. Yeah I'm thinkng about going. Being free it would be silly not too.
  12. Hopefully :) Will be attempting this during the week.
  13. Type RA and Prodrive have organised a meet at Prodrive in Banbury Oxford. It's free for subarus and more details can be found here. http://www.type-ra.com/subaru-forum/threads/prodrive-30th-final-gathering-8th-june-2014.17347/

Eveyone with a Scoob is Welcome. Your welcome even if you don't have a Scoob, you just can't park on the grass :) As with the last couple of months, before adding your name to the list, please ensure that you read the following:Meet rules: 1. No idiotic driving on the roads surrounding the Fairmile 2. No damaging the Fairmile grass 3. No leaving litter/cans/pint glasses on the Fairmile grass 4. Do not partake in any other idiotic behaviour that gives Scoobies a bad name In addition we ask that only Japanese cars park on the grass please. 15. Salsa they have provided much more bleed this time. This is the new on top of the old.
  16. Looks good and the possibility of no ads is fantastic. I'm happy to donate and pay a membership fee :)
  17. I fitted the smaller n/s reverse and split the larger n/s one as I got halfway through fitting it. Didn't even try the o/s after that. Will be using a hair dryer rather than heat gun this time.
  18. Cheers Salsa, just got a set. I'm going to do the side I have a duplicate of 1st, so when I muck that up, I have a spare :)
  19. No ads for paid members would be a great idea, all good points Gambit. I also would be happy to donate some wonga to the cause.
  20. Morette are back in business so can be bought brand new. http://www.morette.com/products/MAIN/mainproducts.htm
  21. Nothing to add as Jay has covered it all. I'm running a Cossie one at the moment and just had the car serviced aswell so it won't need replacing for a fair while. Only way to avoid the panel filter is to go for an induction kit. The remap for £550 will be the license and 1st map. Then maps after will cost you from £150. You can buy an other ECU which will have a licence included so you can remap them, however if you don't know what you are doing you will still need to pay the £150 for a mapper so cost wise it's horses for courses. Bear in mind you can get anti lag & launch control added to your standard ECU. Talk to http://www.jollygreenmonster.com/subaru.htm about mapping options he is one of the best in the country.
  22. Already get that with the rebel logo on the front, it's a thing only geeks will get. Still if I put my rebel pilots bash hat in the back it may become clear.
  23. Contemplating a new Star Wars related reg. R5 XWF can't find T65 XWF EP04 ANH EP05 ESB Did find EP03 ROS but that looks rubbish.
  24. Only 14 4x4 left. Good luck with the search. http://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/?q=Subaru+sumo
