  1. Middlesex Scoobies meet in Ruislip.not sure when though. they have a section on scabbynet.
  2. Welcome along. The diffs are noisy on these cars, as Savage said its good practice to replace the oils. Its normally done on the 1st major service (50'000 mile service if I remember right, prob not though :)) A good idea would be to pop to a local club meet, I know there was a Middlesex Scoobies at one time. Alternatively you could pop along to my local club, the Surrey Scoobies we meet, 2nd Sunday of the month near Sandown race course. Get another owner to have a look and compare to their car.

  4. Yeah that's just for the button though, you also need the trim & keyless start system.
  5. Nice one, shame it massively expensive as an extra, I wanted to fit to my type UK.
  6. according to Nasioc it just twists off. don't know if this will help as its for a later forester, http://youtu.be/Vmg70vZf0vk cant see Subaru changing it that drastically.
  7. Easier to look at mods rather than what is Stock. Mods will things like De cat exhaust, Front mount intercooler, upgraded turbo, upgraded injectors, upgraded brakes, any turbo timers, boost controllers ect.
  8. Prob puts the unused axel on jack stands Lol.
  9. no idea, doesn't look like oil water mayonnaise, more like wet sand??

  11. I have fitted a B&M shifter to my classic, that was just removing old great stick from inside the car and refiting the short shifter stick which had different geometry to shorten the the throw. I have also fitted a Kartboy to my hatch STI. Same as the B&M change in geometry to shorten the throw. This involved both inside and outside as I bought the combo kit and changed the bushes and gearbox mount for polyurethane versions. http://www.kartboy.com/x4/product.php?productid=16174&cat=258&bestseller=Y Both jobs were pretty easy, but as with anything you get what you pay for. The Kartboy is a much better product than the B&N as the B&N came loose a cple of times.
  12. Sorry got mixed up with sides lol. It may be a pin hole leak, lose Jubilie clips, split hose if it ran ok for a few days. I found the best way to fill the coolant was to fill via the top radiator hose rather than the header tank. Also the header tank shouldn't be full to the brim when cold.
  13. AIRLOCK!!!! I have spent many Many Hours chasing an Airlock on my classic with exactly the same symptoms you have. If you have just had a new rad fitted then I reckon its an Airlock in the system. Scoobs are notorious for airlocks. Drain and refill the system and this should clear it. Even better would be if a local garage can refill the system under pressure as this will be easier than doing it the old fashioned way. (Loads of threads about airlocks on Scoobs around the interweb and how to fix them.) I think its 5 1/2 ltrs of Coolant you need. I went as far as to measure it exactly to refill mine just to try and avoid the airlock. The tank on the left of the engine IS NOT a header tank, its an expansion tank and will appear empty when cold, it only fills when the coolant is up to temp. Hopefully that will point you in the right direction.
  14. It's not difficult, just very cramped and getting acces with tools is what makes it hard. I have managed to do it before on my classic. It's getting the ratchet in between the heads and the wheel arch that makes it hard. Also you have to be careful when unplugging and reconnecting the coil packs, as they can get damaged if they are wonky and you try to force them. If you have the ratchet ring type spanner it should be easier as its a lot thinner than a traditional ratchet.
  15. Basically just contact them and ask either TFS or SRR to send you them. Most people are doing it via PayPal to teamlegacyuk@yahoo.co.uk just tell them how many stickers you want and where to send it and send your money. I sent £6 to cover PayPal fees and postage.
  16. Me I'd go cat back exhaust, induction and remap. 2nd choice would be discs and pads along with the bushes and drop link Snoopy suggested. If a bit more power and crisper power delivery is not your thing. 3rd choice would be wheels and decent tyres. Just to make it a bit more individual.
  17. Are now available at £5 each all going to charity. http://www.melanomauk.org.uk/events/simon-roe-donation-pages/ They can be purchased from Surrey rolling road, http://www.surreyrollingroad.co.uk TFSracing http://www.tfsracing.co.uk or via PayPal just make a payment to teamlegacyuk@yahoo.co.uk.
  18. but you have to think about where others work with stuff like this :p
  19. that's great, will deffo be interested in the Scoobs engine bay, could you do bonnet open and closed?
  20. 401 litres capacity is the only thing I can find. There aren't any feet and inches measurements I can find with Google so best bet would be to get a tape measure and do it yourself.
  21. Next time please add Not Safe for Work. I've changed the title this time :D
