  1. Check out Surrey Scoobies, a club local to you. Also fortunate that there are quite a few specialists in Surrey.: Surrey Subaru Specialists, GRD, TFS, Jolly Green Monster. http://www.surreyscoobies.co.uk/forums/index.php
  2. Have to say these transform the car. Easy to fit if you take your time and use a hair dryer. Here they are on Black.
  3. Make the 1 1/2 hour trip to Surrey Subaru Specialists in Camberley http://www.surreysubaruspecialists.com/ Unit 6 Bridge Road, Bridge Trade & Industrial Park, Camberly, Surrey, GU15 2QR
  4. A mate had on on his classic and you could hear him a mile further up the motorway when he booted it.
  5. 22mpg so 66 miles for me urban driving. Standard 2.5l 08 STI Although I just fill to the brim every 2 weeks.
  6. Welcome along :) Any pics? Just read the Justy 2 is a rebadged Suzuki Swift??? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzuki_Cultus#Second_generation_.281988.E2.80.932003.29
  7. forgot to metion that you will also need to take the trim around the inside door handle off aswell. another link the manual :) http://ken-gilbert.com/wrx/mans/6%20-%20BODY.PDF
  8. Dont have one of those but here is a link to the body sction of the manual. http://ken-gilbert.com/wrx/mans/6%20-%20BODY.PDF this link will take you to the page with the full manual on it. http://ken-gilbert.com/impreza-manuals
  9. Not too sure about the realigning the window but have replied to the door card thread. What year is it? May be able to rustle up a workshop manual.
  10. Pretty much the same for alo models. One screw in the door pull then it will just pop off. Start at the bottom corner and firmly tugg the door card towards you, then work around the bottom and sides pulling the door card away from the door, when it's loose lift it up and away from the door.
  11. Agree as long as you replace all the rollers and the tensioner at the same time as the belt you shouldn't have any problems.
  12. Nice to hear your pleased with it, any idea what power it's making? Also what fuel did you map it for?
  13. Yeah it does as far as I know, Salsa king is the one to give more info he got the 330S.
  14. The STI hatch came in 3 versions. Basicly: WRX STI 300bhp. Standard STI WRX STI Type UK. standard STI with dealer fit PPP (Prodrive performance pack). Remap to 330bhp, Prodrive cat back exhaust. Will have accompanying certificate. WRX STI 330S. Factory badged 330s, 330bhp, recaro seats, push button start, factory fit Sat nav. The 330s and Type UK had an updated map to address the ringland failure which was happing with the standard model WRX STI's.
  15. Ringland failure is what you are talking about and I personally haven't had any issues with my type UK. As long the as car is standard and it has been looked after with regular servicing then there shouldn't be any problems. Ringland failure can be caused by modding without an appropriate map, poor servicing, ragging the nuts off the car, too much power on standard internals. If you do buy the car then you can get someone like Jolly Green Monster or Andy Forrest to check the map for you. Any power mods you do really should be mapped, you can change the panel filter without mapping the car :D As for the car you are looking at do all the usual checks you would do. Also have a look at the service history in detail check it was serviced at proper intervals or mileage. Make sure you test the car in all of the SI modes. i, sport and sport#. With the mileage it has you shouldn't really have any mechanical issues. Check for wear on the front tyres use this as a barging tool if they are low. That's about all I can think off.
  16. Stanton has pretty much coverd it all. loads of diff back boxes to choose from. I'd recomend this :)
  17. Pretty much how I did mine on my classic although mine was above the Turbo so yours should be fine.
  18. Due to the Prudential ride London road closures will affect the surrounding area so turn out might not be that great. I can't get there myself all my approaches are across closed roads.
  19. The instructions for the staff is on the back of the card. I get 15% off bike stuff with my work pass. They just work it out on a calculator and take it off the final amount.
  20. It's Monthly Meet time again! As ever, it's at The Fairmile in Cobham. Full address for the pub is: The Fairmile Portsmouth Road Cobham Surrey KT11 1BW Kicks off from 13:00pm onwards! Eveyone with a Scoob is Welcome. Your welcome even if you don't have a Scoob, you just can't park on the grass :) As with the last couple of months, before adding your name to the list, please ensure that you read the following:Meet rules: 1. No idiotic driving on the roads surrounding the Fairmile 2. No damaging the Fairmile grass 3. No leaving litter/cans/pint glasses on the Fairmile grass 4. Do not partake in any other idiotic behaviour that gives Scoobies a bad name In addition we ask that only Japanese cars park on the grass please. Members are more than welcome to come down in non-Jap cars (or bring friends) but please, Japanese only parked on the grass (there is a second car park to the rear of the Fairmile if you don't want to park in the main area).
  21. You'd be looking at Brembo, AP, Turox, k-sport upgrades, price will vary but you won't be looking at under a grand for the full set up, disc, pads and callipers. Unless you find a 2nd hand set of STI brakes. To be honest I think most 4 pot Subaru will just bolt straight on the car. You will need new discs if you upgrade the callipers as they won't fit the standard discs that come with a 2 pot set up.
  22. Welcome to the club. Not the best first post :( Can you get any engine codes? That would help a lot in finding out what's wrong. In the meantime to the best of my limited knowledge. Check for split or loose hoses, that would cause loss of pressure. Leaks of oil or water around turbo, one of the oil feeds or water feeds has gone. Blue smoke out the back, one of the seals or bearings in the turbo has gone. Pretty sure someone with more knowledge of Legacy's will help out.
  23. Welcome along, plenty of people around to give advice :)
