08 impreza wrx hatch help required!!!!!!
Back pressure is good, but only for a 2 stroke with no valves, it helps keep the mixture in the cylinder. I think the people who encourage back pressure started off with a 2 stroke, then thought it was good for all engines Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can't re-set MIL light
Whereabouts are you? Maybe someone close by has a code reader you can use and go from there. With mine I can also clear the codes using the reader Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Can't re-set MIL light
If it is on because something is unplugged for example, you could try to reset it and it will come on straight away. On some cars you can have codes already stored in the ecu without turning on the light, but the light will come on after certain conditions are met long term. On mine, I don't know if a wire was loose or not, but when my o2 heater wasn't working like it should, the MIL wouldn't even turn on when ignition lights are on, then after awhile would come on and stay on, with a code stored all that time... don't think it's the bulb playing up, maybe it was programmed to do this to say it has detected a problem but is not quite sure yet? What's your opinion on the Subaru 2000 Turbo?
You can always tell your family and friends you were thinking more about the safety side of it, with handling and the all wheel drive :) Also children can hear you coming and so get out of the way faster! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Finally got burble!
Comparing the bolt holes with the old exhaust, would be good to check if they line up, if I had to do it again I'd spend a bit longer to find something to wedge inbetween to hopefully make it easier to fit. Note not all are like that, I knew from reviews this particular one the holes didn't line up but for the price couldn't complain :) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Help needed car won't start
Could be too big a gap on old plugs and just doesn't like the cold? Anyway glad you got it sorted, would hate to have a Subaru sitting outside just as the cold weather is coming! If you crank it loads and flood it then if yours is the same as mine, can just pull the fuel pump fuse and crank it, or tow it in gear with the key in to turn off steering lock but ignition off Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The cheap manifold itself though didn't really line up, will try to find a picture if I can Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Finally got burble!
Hi I think only 2 nuts came off on the inside end of the manifold, the others were seized but was alright because the bolt itself would come out with the nut in place, so just treated it like a bolt :) one nut came loose later, but I just compared where it was meant to be with another bolt then put another spare nut in beside it to lock it in place Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cat convertor error code
https://vimeo.com/194371084 If you could see voltages from your exhaust sensors, this is what mine looks like after a new aftermarket cat and sensors, although I think one of the heater wires is loose. It goes as high as .750 sometimes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Help needed car won't start
Do you have a spare key? When swapping ignition barrels round for my friend but didn't swap the chips round yet, she had to hold her old key next to the black ring that goes round the metal key hole bit for a second, then use the new key to start the car. If she didn't do it properly, it will fire up for 1 second and then die (with check engine flashing) If you got a spare key maybe try using that with your fingers crossed incase something happened to the chip? Finally got burble!
Really pleased with it, still got both cats and stock style mid pipe but after years of owning this car and people thinking its a Toyota it might be recognised as a Subaru! The stainless steel manifold was only around £150! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Finally got burble!
After my already beaten up exhaust snapped at the second cat I decided to get everything apart from the backbox, uel instead of el headers. I don't drive quick anyway, even if I wanted to (2.5 NA) so weren't bothered about loss of power. Never driven a turbo car so luckily for me I don't know what I'm missing and happy with my slow legacy :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Help needed car won't start
Or the other way round, try pulling fuel pump fuse then turn the engine over a couple of times. My friends old Nissan would flood if started for a couple of seconds when cold then turned off! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Help needed car won't start
Try turning over while spraying intake cleaner into the intake to eliminate fuel problem. When my friends classic didn't start because of immobiliser, it would fire up then turn off with check engine flashing so might not be that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Droning noise
If you changed bearings recently might be uneven wear on brakes, tyres etc from worn bearings. After getting mine changed my brakes were unevenly worn. Standard wheels? Sometimes with aftermarket wheels you need an adapter, can't remember the name of it, but on a friends car the tyre place said it was missing and the car has a little bit of a drone so putting it down to that. This is wheel bearing noise anyway Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Hmmm wouldn't let me post a vid
