  1. I'd look at all the fuses, not sure if there is a separate one for fog lights. I think the ones for my normal lights are in the engine bay, but guess if you're checking there might as well check inside the cabin. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. There was this micra (old one) where we turned it on, moved the car to another parking space, turned it off and it flooded the engine but to the point where it didn't fire anymore.. we ended up just towing it in gear :) Are you any where near wymondham? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. From my experience, I have read stored codes from some cars where the light isn't on... there was also a Ford Focus where using the dash check for diagnostic trouble codes was clear, but my scanner read 3 codes. Do you do a lot of short drives then turn off the engine? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. On 2 classic Imprezas I know of, one a sport and one a turbo, the o2 code comes up but not symptoms like yours. I can't remember which ones were plugged in, but you can clear them, drive with some plugged in and as soon as it detects something it will start flashing. Also, does your check engine light work? Steady flashes to indicate no code? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. I have seen older legacies/foresters etc for sale on eBay/gumtree with lpg already installed and from memory I don't think the price is that much higher than one without lpg. There is a small reduction in tax but I believe it was something silly like £20. I think with the hybrids one of the arguments was also where they got materials from as well and the environmental damage from shipping all those materials from around the world to one factory, plus the lifespan of the batteries themselves and the cost of new ones to be fitted Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Mean looking car Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Hi welcome from another Subaru owner in Norfolk :) Haven't had any bad snow that I can remember for a couple of years, the roads were a bit icy a couple of days ago but they are good cars for when it does start to snow :) (as long as you got decent tyres!) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Standard bulbs? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. I think the knock sensor is basically a microphone, could maybe just tap on/near to it with a screw driver? Maybe exhaust is clogged up? If it didn't store codes, I think there is a way of connecting the connectors then driving the car with them still connected, then it'll flash anything it picks up. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Guy I know bought a classic Impreza turbo and covers a lot of miles in his work. Went and converted his car to LPG on his trip to Europe, he said the running cost was less than his 2003 Astra diesel. We have filling stations here and he hadn't mentioned any problems, I saw him briefly a couple days ago and he still seems really happy with the car, didn't mention any problems. Guess it's just finding a good installer. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. I fitted mine recently issues being as stants mentioned, the bolts didn't line in properly but got a metal bar to pull the two ends away from each other while fitting. I tried lining it up with the old manifold first, with hindsight would try to wedge something between the pipes while the new manifold was bolted onto the old manifold, may be easier to fit if doing it on little ramps while laying on a cold floor! I changed the cat and midpipe, but they were made to be like standard parts and fitted without problem. Issues after fitting- with no heat shield and it slightly touching/being near to the plastic skid pan, it started to melt it.. so get some heat wrap round the exhaust to protect things from the heat! 12. Finally got burble! https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/index.php?/topic/20596-Finally-got-burble%21&share_tid=20596&share_fid=75442&share_type=t Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Merrrrrry xmas! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. https://vimeo.com/196943563 Took a video now of my 2001 legacy starting with no chip, however I couldn't get it to start by placing the old key near it, maybe it needed to touch the metal aswell on mine but don't like starting it and turning off too many times! Also that dash cam was getting annoying! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. I meant the old key, when he cut a new key, did he reprogram it properly. Within the plastic body of the old key there is a chip, if you still got the broken old key, put it near the ignition when starting Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. On my recent stainless headers I reused old heat wrap. After fitting new heat wrap without tears, gaps etc I got from taking the old one off, the sound seems a bit deeper and 'clearer' now. I think the heat wrap may have dampened some unwanted noise from the stainless material itself ? I know it's meant to keep the heat in, exhaust flows faster etc but does seem bit quieter and 'clearer'. Might be worth a try for anyone who has any front/mid pipes that are stainless Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Christmas trees! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. When changing the ignition barrel and using a key with the old chip, my friends Impreza classic would start for one-three seconds then turn off with engine light flashing. The black ring around ignition barrel acts like a antenna/sensor for the chip, when changing ignition barrel I kept the old one on and just swapped the chips in the key. Before swapping chips, I could start it by putting the old key with old chip near that black ring, then starting the car with the new key Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Taken any heat shields off the exhaust / changed exhaust parts to non standard and it's rubbing on something? Dead cat wrapped around something? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    BULBS

Whatever you do don't get LED headlight bulbs, I do delivery driving and got a good LED focusable torch and thought headlights would be the same.. they are ****, they go everywhere and because of that they are very dim where you need it most and blind other road users.. they are usually sold as foglight/sidelight bulbs. For £16 I got a HID conversion with bulbs on my legacy, a lot brighter without people flashing me. If they do, you could adjust your lights to the left or maybe block out the flat bit next to the bulb (kick up) but no problems on mine Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. It would be this one! Same colour, big and slow (N/A) and makes a loud noise. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Flamy red? "Fire extinguisher?" Previously owned by fireman Sam by any chance? :) Ages ago my friend got his insurance cheaper than expected on his modded prelude, think he was told by the insurer it was a bit cheaper because of the colour of it (resprayed glittery red/purple... others called it pink :D) that it would easily be found if stolen etc. Sooooooo maybe your insurance is cheaper with that than if you got a blue one :) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. RE-done some heat wrapping as reused the old one when fitting the exhaust as new one hadn't arrived yet :) The old one had rips etc when removing several times, it had melted part of the rear of the plastic skid guard :/ parts of the exhaust that were covered now has a nice blue tint to it though :) going to do a bit more soon :) Oh, also found a small tunnel :) https://vimeo.com/196121823 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Does the nitrous come with a red button aswell? :P Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
