  1. Did piggy not have underlying air pump or sensor issues though ? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  2. Don't waste your money save up and buy a turbo model, You'd need everything from cooling/charge cooling to full exhaust system, boost control ngine harness ecu injectors etc etc I believe the gearbox is different too Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  3. Did they drive it at 70 ? To see for them selves or was it just on ramps that it was checked ? My guess is of they haven't it's a diff/ or bearing issue when my wheel bearing failed there was no signs of play just got louder and louder until it started to cook itself, have a drive around and then touch each wheel centre see if ones excessively hotter Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  4. I needed it 3 months ago and the old man said I could have it and pay him once I'd stripped mine, I need something bigger though ! Focus is tiny and slow 🤣 although is only costing me 50 a month on fuel instead of 30 a Week, I'll do some man maths 🤣 Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  5. I'd have had this off you when mine blew up but I got offered a very cheap focus from a family member which I couldn't say no to, good luck with the sale 🖒 Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  6. Just out of interest what fuel do you use in it ? Your man's talking nonsense they can be mapped, you will need to speak to a reputable mapper who know his onions, Looking 10-15bhp on a 11 year old car isn't that bad, however if you got it mapped you'd see gains of up to 260-270bhp alot more torque and better fuel economy, it comes at a price anywhere between 350-600 depending on what software is used, open source is cheaper but you don't get as much end user support, others like ecutek will charge you for a licence. You'd need to stick in an uprated fuel pump for peace of mind to stop it leaning off under increased boost but that's about it, Over time it will pay for it's self just depends on how long your planning on having the car. As for the intercooler most of us just bend the fins back, easier if removed from the car to save you breaking your back. You could look at ebay for a used sti intercooler but it may require some additional parts like the chimney from the bonnet scoop. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  7. You'd have to get a licence 1st before they'd even offer you cover, assuming you've not been banned/convicted of any motoring offences you'll have some silly quotes come back that's if they are willing to insure you, my previous insurer wouldn't let me put anyone down as a named driver until they'd held a licence for 3 years or more. But assuming you have got your licence and have 3-10k (I'm not joking here some members have been quoted as much as 8k) Then you could take out a years policy with limited mileage to 1000 miles and tell them it's kept in storage (again if it's not near your house and not a recognized storage facility) may throw up issues and tbey'd want ro know of the facility was ploice Larm monitored etc, you could do it Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  8. No for the turbo, as you'll have to change everything, headers different, you'd need an up pipe/downpipe/exhaust system Boost control, cooling/intercooler engine loom different ecu compression is different too so the engine would have to come apart, for a start. Supercharging may be slightly cheaper but I reckon your still looking at alot of money Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  9. What spring/ strut combo did you get ? If you were replacing dead sls units you'd have to get shocks with a stiffer rate to compensate for the difference, again if you bought wrx wagon springs they are too soft as the fox is around 50kg heavier at the back than the wrx Something like this would have been perfect http://www.pedders.co.uk/subaru-forester-sg-pedders-ezifit-strut-conversion-kit-rear_p22538557.htm#.WYdKhHPTXqA Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  10. I'd say firm was an understatement Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  11. Pedders may do one, failing that may be worth looking at outback.org our us friends like to do alot of this stuff should be able to find info on sourcing kits, Anderson design and fabrication do stuff for a start Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  12. You in Sheffield ? Speak to Martin at Sheffield subaru services down on century street should be able to help sourcing one Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  13. Quite substantial, new ecu, custom engine loom, custom headers to up pipe, downpipe, throttle bodies, boost control, turbo, downpipe, cooling Inc intercooler, fueling, injectors and opening the engine up to get right compression ratios with piston crowns an gasket thickness for a start. Missed loads out I reckon You'd be better off building one from scratch, ground up Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  14. @scoobyghost does but they were for a classic he did say there were a little on the firm side, took them off after about 4 hours Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  15. Hello & welcome, It's not really worth it the n/a lump produces about as much power as it can, you'd be better off upgrading the brakes along handling and weight saving measures will see you be able to go 'faster' Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  16. High tax bracket and the 2.5L scare stories don't help, I really like that shape. More discrete You wern't in Leeds the other day heading out to the m621 from town ? Seen a sliver spoilerless one on a couple of occasions Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  17. @sandals is your man for the shell garage locations in Scotland 🤣 Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  18. Hello & welcome 🖒 Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  19. Www.importcarparts.co.uk Just ring up and give them the reg no, The n/a cars never used to have a maf just a map sensor, this may have changed, does your airbox sit at the back of engine and goes straight into the throttle body ? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  20. Are they still as badly laid out as the used to ? Remember using one years ago had to go to about 8 different pages to find out what really should have all been in same paragraph [emoji23] Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  21. will those clear your sump ? As the twinscroll used a different shape from what I'm led to believe ? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  22. Buy a blob sti Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  23. Injectors will be culprit, if you only do one thing stay off boost until mapping. Normally people either fit them the day before mapping and drive like a granny or take them to be fitted day of map Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  24. Miller's mainly but used Fuchs before the Miller's was the oil that gave me the quietest running on my slappy engine Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
