  1. So will you be running down the strip at pod this year then Jay ? ☺
  2. Cos worth one is a 'normal filter' and will need changing every service
  3. Airbox off already ! Dunno about the green stuff, looks a bit more waxy than coolant staining ?
  4. Could be, can you bypass the controller and plumb it back in correctly ? Looking at this http://www.enduringsolutions.com/ECUGuide.pdf there's every possibility that yours originally have a v5 ecu, with all the other mods yours has it must have been running some other engine management
  5. Doesn't the acvr only work with the power fc ? If so methinks somone whipped out the ecu and repalced it with one from a breakers, hence the gc8 written in pink on the cover ? Just a thought
  6. Yeah actuator pressure is around .5 bar, could the wast gate be sticking and working intermittently? It will go into limp mode too if somethings wrong but will only rev to 2.5k. Just post up anything you have issues with & wiring vac lines etc that don't look right, easiest. Don't suppose you've plugged the green and black connectors in beneath the steering wheel to see if you get any historic faults come up ?
  7. Should be able to get them from most motor factors for a couple of quid
  8. Hi mate welcome &sorry to hear about your troubles, easiest thing would be to get it on a dyno, that will give the best indication of what's happening or not as the case may be, If ecu is upgraded it's either a standalone apexi or has an els board or one has been put in from a later model, how many plugs does it have ? The boost issue could be anything from a split hose to more serious problems, best off taking loads of pics and posting it all up, we're all friendly here and will try to help out as much as we can
  9. Worn engine/gearbox mounts can contribute to this
  10. We just went to the timing hut last year and paid the 25 notes to go on strip
  11. Good man, have you told him he has to follow at least half a mile behind ? (Assuming he's in the '5 & If he can keep up ) [emoji12] He can park on our stand I guess ? Yes we do have a stand and the show is only Sunday it's an open rwyb sat with the option to camp,
  12. http://websitemedia.co.uk/clients/cf3/view.php?id=64 this one Clive
  13. Many of us are over 100k with the standard box and people put up to 350 though a 5 speed. I can't see it being totally empty as it would have got hot plus it contains the front diff
  14. Notice you have a v1/2 with the slanty cooler, I have a v3/4 cooler sat in my man cave fairly easy uprate/mod if your interested [emoji51]
  15. I reckon lambda sensor is next to check
  16. Hi mate, good news about the job, if it's a UK car it will more than likely have a tf03 turbo on, imports have a larger td04 on Pic for comparison It's a mitsibushi unit so there should be plenty of them around, I believe volvo used them for a while on certian models, They are oil and water fed so would be easier to find one that has the same kind of set up saves blanking bits off, In theory pretty much anything will bolt up with some modifications to the hot or cold sides. A td04 or 05 would give you loads more oomph but to get the best out of it it would need mapping in
  17. Factor in another 150 for paint and 50-100 for a scoop so might be worth looking for one out of a breakers
  18. I'll send you a pm mate
  19. S debating weather to pick up some 4pot hawk front calipers for 23quid plus postage from the bay, in need of a refurb though
  20. May be going as ut's only up the roof have to see if a, it clashes b, i'm allowed haha
  21. Nut tightening values ? 88-98mn if I remember correctly. Don't hole me to it. But I do mine up to around 90 and i've not had a wheel fall off yet [emoji3]
  22. Gonna hurt if she gets her nips caught in the buckles ! I think they are quite literally !Removed! 17 million cars in the states alone potentially need recalling. Takata have a plant in Mexico so I'm not sure if it mainly effects usdm more than any other market
  23. Yes mate as you look at the car the right side is for the rad and the left fan is a/c. Non equipped cars only have one fan on the left, people do mod it so the can use both for cooling, not really worth it unless your in Africa
  24. You need a t piece adaptor, you remove the original sender pop the adaptor in and then put new and original one in the adaptor http://www.advancedautomotives.com/oil-pressure-remote-gauge-switch-adaptor-subaru-impreza-wrx-sti-turbo-forester-1544-p.asp
