  1. Yeah i know I'm just tempted as you should get better grip and traction for the different rubber.
  2. Does anyone have a rear wiper on theirs ? No idea where the spray thing would be located on yours but mine had a split in the water pipe so every time I washed the rear screen it !Removed! it down in the boot area.
  3. Coming along nicely there mate, it's a sliplery slope [emoji51]
  4. Not just snow though work best at 10deg and below if what you read is right, I've got the space to store which ever set isn't on the car. Ive juat bought a set of identical wheels as mine for sixty quid with some budget tyres on so I'm thinkng I'll use existing set with winter rubber on then swap over and get some decent summer tyres on in the spring
  5. Decat or sports cat, air filter fuel pump injectors, remap. easy see the figure your after [emoji51]
  6. Maybe need to insert a small flat blade into the hole to release the body from the mount ? Don't take my word for it though as last thing you'd want is to crack the windscreen
  7. That a dyno printout ? What the hell has he had in the back to do that kind of damage ?
  8. Quite a few of us are on at least double that [emoji1] it may be worth finding a subaru specalist in your area as it will be at least half of what the main dealer will charge for everything. Handling and ride comfort is brilliant for the size and when you put your foot down yiu'll be even more surprised by the way it gathers speed. Don't know if you had a look through the buying guide in here ? As yours is a more recent model it should be fine but always worth a read. Only other thing is to make sure it'a warm and all fluids are up to temp before doing anything 'spirited'mainly for the longlivity of the engine. As they don't like being driven on boost from cold. Looks like a cracking example
  9. Anyone use them ? Looking at picking up another set of standard 16" wheels so thinking of putting a set of winter ones on and keepingbhe better rims for aome aummer tyres ?
  10. Hello welcome, good news about he cambelt change service & m.o.t included in the sale, you shouldn't have any problems and it will cope with nearly eveything you used to throw at the defender, may get a bit stuck in the deeper stuff but thats about it. If driven sensibly near 30mpg isn't too hard to achieve. The exhausts tend to rot from the outside in so look alot worse than they are what kind of milage is on it ? We're all friendly on here so any questions or random atuff you may need answered don't hesitate to ask. I'm sure after about 5milws of driving it away you'll be smiling
  11. You have pm [emoji51]
  12. Boo [emoji20] I wasn't really thinking abiut them last month but when they were flagged advisories thought why not look at doing it all, dis you bother with the bar hangers matt ?
  13. If they are the straight chunky ones then they are the same, I was more worried about the rear bar mounts to the chassis, maybe its just a marketing thing but whitleine want to sell me a kit to attach the bar to the car. Send us a pic of the droplinks when you have time and I'll let you know
  14. Thinking about swapping the rather sorry looking lollypop stick like rear arb to maybe a 20mm one off an an impreza, do you think this will cause any problems if I just change the bar and bushes to the right size for the bar? Or will I end up twisting/snapping the mountings ? Ideally I'd get a whitleine one with the uprated mounts but budget isn't going to allow this for a while,
  15. With skills like that he's lookong like a step up to moto gp next year or a trip in [emoji603]
  16. I normally find hand tightening then a further 3/4 turn should do it, can usually feel it 'nip' up with the seal. At least ours are simple to remove without getting too much oil everywhere. The mazda's was at 90% on the side of the block no matter what you did oil went everywhere :-( Got pitch stop form me mums far to foggy to do anything today though, just negotiating a price on another set of rims so I can have a summer set and winter set [emoji51]
