  2. Your heading down the right path there haha
  3. I have a funny story but it's too rude to put on here. Maybe he was measuring the circumference
  4. Girth and length is better [emoji51]
  5. I'd wait till after winter least the salt isn't gonna attack your nice new rims
  6. Yep depending on car the fronts handle upto 75% of the braking load as weight shifts forward under breaking, I wouldn't worry about it even if you went round the block to get a paper they'd be hot. If you think about it the car weighs around a ton and a half so only having 4 contact areas to slow you down will generate a lot of friction
  7. Fair doings that I'd knock anoter 200 off for having to tax it too !
  8. I always get them mixed up besides it was 7am when I wrote that, ash was on nights for a while last time I spoke to him and I see nicks got himself an xbox1 so I guess thats where he is lol
  9. Sti commands a bigger insurance premium, was chatting with nick and ash and although theres a few differences in thier ages and age of cars and locations, one being a classic uk2000 and the other a bug sti, both are putting out something in the region of 350bhp, nicks is a good couple hundred quid more to insure [emoji20]
  10. How about both al la audi. Supercharger low down beans till the turbo spools up then more boost than you can shake a stick at. Your only allowed to fit it if you have the lift up button from mad max. Shame it didn't actually do owt still looked cool as f**k to a 12 year old me [emoji51]

    Glutton for cleaning punishment ?
  12. I'm sure you said must spend more time driving and leat time pulling apart [emoji51]
  13. You'd get more for taking it over the weigh bridge at your local scrappy than selling to a breaker [emoji20] Have you looked at getting a 2nd hand diff and finding a specialist in your area to do the work, you'll save a packet. Would be a shame to scrap or break it as it's bot got that many miles on it.
  14. Personal preference really, have you looked into just changing the paper filter for a more free flowing one like a cosworth or similar? Check out scooby world or scoobyparts.co.uk for various options
  15. Had some knobber at half five this morning in a pasat trying to climb into the boot. In thick fog what a cu*t ! 2 speed cameras half a mile apart in a 60 so I just waited after the 2nd camera it goes up hill for 2miles and due to the height isn't foggy so he had to be told
  16. I get clutch judder every morning going up my drive, once at top of street it's gone away [emoji51]
  17. Nice ! Usual stuff to look for I guess, maybe pm tlag or adam as they both have then will be able to gve o some more sepcific Info,

Looks good in blue, To be fair i've only seen it in black white silver and an off green colour so it's refreshing to see it in another one, I like those wheels, shame there are no cheap sets floating around at the mo [emoji20]
  19. Hello welcome, you'll have a saggy !Removed! if you fit the impreza suspension due to the extra weight the foz has over the saloon, I've changed mine for a pedders kit due to all four of mine being completely shagged, there are lots of other options and another member rick has gone down a different route lowering his, check out the membera gallery and the susoension section for the threads. Feel free to get stuck in and get some pics up of yours
  20. Suppose it depends on where it's spent nost of its life, how long have you owned the car ? For that amount of rust it looks like it's taken hold a long time ago, can't beleive the m.o.t didn't flag up at least an advisory
  21. Hello welcome, Clutch judder when cold is normal, I'd do cambelt and associated items as although it's not reached the mileage mark, age of it would be my concern. 8 owners isn't uncommon either for these it's nearly 14 years old, as for more poke theres always plenty of options to get more out without heading for the sti
  22. Have aword with a local body shop, get some quotes and mull it over, it seems like a lot of timworm for a 11 year old car, have the drain holes in the sills been blocked causing a build up of water rotting it from the inside out ?
  23. Instead of a fmic have you thought about a newage top mount swap ? Good for between 350-400 depending on what you go for
  24. Can you not get someone what the inserts to make you a pattern then get them made up ? May still be a cheaper option
  25. [emoji1] I've just oreded a 90 degree 51mm samco elbow so at least I can take the I/c off and have a poke around and fit the pitch stop. Did you bother to torque it up or just tighten it enough ?
