Rps Posted March 6, 2017 Author Posted March 6, 2017 Thats abit ott lol i just want a loud tschh my old dv is a hybrid gfb one so might just get the same but flangeless as i liked that
mattiekane Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 Can you not change the adaptor on them? Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
mattiekane Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 Think the base plate that bolts to tmic is threaded, unscrew an buy the correct fitting to screw in, must be cheaper and if you know you like it then win win Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
quit Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 do turbo smart do one? think they do one which you can alter the sound on i had a TurboXS (eBay job) on my old classic years ago was !Removed! loud!!!

mattiekane Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 Don't honestly know what's on mine, might be a baileys one, but I also might be wrong Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
savage bulldogs Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 I'm running a old school bailey's on mine only vid I've got is just audio and taken from inside the car though.
Rps Posted March 6, 2017 Author Posted March 6, 2017 How much does it sh ag up the turbo not having a dv at all?
savage bulldogs Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 I think matt knew someone who ran without a dump valve, i've read that ball bearing cored turbos don't like it much . Maybe get a adjustable one and stiffen it up a little bit to get some more flutter but not abuse the turbo too much .
quit Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 I ran without one and so did my mate , yeah you won't get a long life out of a turbo but I never had a issue
mattiekane Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 I have a YouTube channel with a few videos of my scoobie on, search Matt Kane, should be fairly clear lol Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
dgarside Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 GFB have a nice PHSSSHHHHHT to them... :D Agreed, my GFB fully open is quite loud... you can also turn it off when you get bored and has an adjustable spring so it doesn't cause ECU problems. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Rps Posted March 6, 2017 Author Posted March 6, 2017 Is there anyway to buy a connection to replace the flange?
Martian Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 I had a Baileys on my classic for a while but ended up getting rid of it and getting rid of the silencer box instead. Much better! It sounds exactly like a dump valve and suprisingly very loud.
Martian Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 On classic wrx's inbetween the airfilter and engine is a big plastic silencer box. It stops you from hearing the turbo noises and intake noise from the airfilter. I got rid of that and now have turbo spooling noises and the standard recirc valve noises. The turbo makes awesome noises! And the lag i had is gone! It wasnt loads of lag but noticeable. I reset my ecu with the dv on but it didnt run perfect. Stuck my hks induction kit on, reset the ecu and its sharp and noisy! LOVE IT. Although im going to buy the Apexi one as I prefer what ive read about that filter. On your car im not sure but there must be a factory silencer somewhere stopping you from hearing the induction and turbo noises?
