I currently have her off the road and am undertaking some major work to restore it to its former glory. CboatsTerzo327 Posted June 6, 2019 Author Share Posted June 6, 2019 Hi guys just a wee update on how things are coming along. Car totally stripped now and all welding now done. New own front wings prime red along with spoiler,all trim and new front splitter ready to be aligned next week then into the paint shop. Car is then booked in for a full custom made de-cat stainless system with an uneven snakehead. Taken me the best part of a year to get to this point and I must admit I cannot wait to get it back on the road. Nice work ,fella 👍 As far as the stone guards go I'm fairly sure they're only a UK or euro thing . Have you tried speaking to Luke at import car parts? Thanks bro,could have took the easy route and went for an import but I much prefer the build not bought approach. There’s a lot of joy to be had in seeing a car taking shape through your own hard work. There will come a point where people will be kicking themselves for letting these classics go to pot. savage bulldogs Posted June 8, 2019 Share Posted June 8, 2019 I much prefer the built not bought route ,myself too 😊 Will admit my v3 UK got scrapped due to tin worm and I re shelled my mechanicals into a clean 94 jdm sti . But I either used the rare v1 sti Shell or that would've gone to the scrappy instead . There's certainly a shortage of early classics and UK cars over here , so glad you've saved her . As for the stone guards, Jdms don't have them or the holes in the arch "dog leg " for them to fit too . Thought I could see the end in sight but now I’ve been told my fuel lines are corroded and needing replaced.
