david1972
Think the new age recommends 5/30 could be wrong though, What's the misses think Of it dave ? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk She's happy for me mate [emoji23] In all seriousness we've done 2 X 45 mile journeys and she said it's a lovely car and doesn't think it would be the same if I changed the exhaust. Done 225 miles now and fuel gauge still showing 1/3 tank left. I think I have sticky brake syndrome and a knocking I haven't managed to locate yet. Hoping it's just the wooden spare wheel well cover and going to do school run without it in tomorrow to see. Speaking with the dealer tomorrow about cracked windscreen anyway so will mention these things too. Both neighbours have spoken to the Mrs and I about the car already...both chaps in late 20s / early 30s...still strange having a car that turns heads [emoji41] Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk

Only £40?? In 8 washes you'll have broken even, and probably done a better job than the other hand washers! Be warned though, it's a slippery slope to spending a lot of money. I'm still building up my supplies/tools and i'm probably over £100. My car is clean though =/ I haven't done anything to the car per se, i've bought new springs and struts though so that'll be done soon! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk On the cards, more interested in a DA before pressure washer to be honest! With regards to oil for your car, have a look on Opie Oils. They have a recommended oil, discount and fast postage! Your knocking could be due to rear strut top mounts, seems to have been a common area of issue!

Jdmv4sti
Stared at my car and wondered if I should stick to the blobeye chargespeed bumper I modded for my classic or have I made a mistake and go back to my wrc bumper and make a custom splitter for it....

david1972
Dealer is in denial about windscreen; my own fault really. Has also said the knocking is 'normal' for imprezas at rear due to actual shocks used [emoji53] Has offered to look at my sticky brakes but said these would have been checked too before sale. All in all I'm minded just to book in to a local Indy specialist and have them give it a once over. After sales, I would suggest, offers room for improvement. Scoobyghost
No suspension should ever knock on any car. Bad form Dealers that make a sale then couldn't care less.
quit
Shocks are knackered why they are knocking

Scoobyghost
Send the dealer to a Subaru owners club forum or specialist of his choice to ask if they should be knocking 😂😂
Gaulson
Glad you like the car @david1972 and once you get the couple of niggles out the way it will be smooth sailing :). I've decided it is time to sell mine, although I'm not trying very hard to do so. Got it on eBay and put it for a high price in the hopes no one will be interested ;).

Yes, it's been a long term dream to own a turbo and feel privileged to have found such a rare low mileage auto import wrx. I'm in it for the long term and like my cars to be right, so anything and everything will get done in time. It's already totally changed how I view driving, and I thought I enjoyed it in my outback! akafonzie
Sounds about right for a dealer, i had quite a lot of issues with mine which i also bought from a dealer. I went to a local specialist and had them give an opinion on some of the issues i was experiencing and then went back to the dealer, they did sort out the majority of things for me so i can't complain too much, but some of the things do come under wear and tear which they may or may not cover. These issues that were apparent prior to collection, if they weren't noted on the sales receipt, should be covered for replacement however. david1972
How bad are windscreen replacement companies too....have called 3 this morning and only 1 has got back to me. £240 plus vat for new front screen. Needs it and can be done tomorrow so unless the others beat that in next couple hours, I'll be getting this done. There goes my winter wheels fund for now lol Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk

david1972
No mate, it's not damage I can say has been caused since I picked the car up, despite the dealer spiel. Has a few other chips in it too so needs sorting really for safety. Not worth the risk; just want it fixed. Jdmv4sti
If you don't have windscreen cover on your insurance try autoglass. I'm sure they do repairs for a small excess as long as you're fully comp and they deal with your insurance company.
david1972
Thanks jdm I do have cover but it hasn't happened while I've had the car. There's a 5cm crack on drivers side and other chips elsewhere so it really has to go. Thanks for trying to help though; appreciate it [emoji106] Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
