Bonnet has come, looks in good nick, just a few minor stone chips to sort out, happy days,

 

just need get it on now, easy to fit? 

Fitted the brakes this afternoon ,can't tell you how much better they are as I Want the red stuff pads to bed in a bit before I stamp on them

Look's better certainly stands out from the alloy :)  

I was quite surprised how much bigger they are than the subaru 4 pots and even more surprised that I had to run the 3 mm spacers make my wide offset rims fit.

The pic's a bit rubbish as by the time I finished fitting them it was getting a bit dark so I had to enhance the pic on my phone so you could see it properly.

They look massive! Very beastly :)

Installed brace and rather randomly it's pushed the rear parcel shelf mounts out buy 2or 3mm

Sti badge turned up for my spliter so when I refurb it I wi have a new badge.

Still don't have the car back yet thought and the misses is getting grumpy about the alloys in the living room. Only a week to go.

My depo 4-1 gauge should arrive today. Is there a guide or any general advice to fitting them? Never done one before and I'd rather get it right first time.

Take your time, have you got any add a fuses ?

Hardest part will be getting through the firewall and putting the sender adaptors in the top of the block, what you got volts, boost, oil pressure & temp ?

Where are you going for the top of block behind the alternator or under the topmount ?

Those are all the questions I need answers too [emoji15]

It is the boost needle, oled volt, oil temp/pres display.

I went behind the i/c as couldn't be arsed to move the alternator, plus it gives a slightly better reading for temp as that gets the hottest, but less accurate for oil pressure, but if it reads lower I think it gives me more of as fail safe, boost easy,voltage I guess will be taken off the electrical feed anyway ? Have you got the adaptor and extender bit for the new senders to screw into ?

I was under the impression everything I need was on the box. Boost and volt I can deal with. It's the oil part I want to get right. That's the important bit.

I'm confused. If it's all in the box what are the extra bits for? First time doing a gauge fitting so forgive my naivety.

Ghost , Although it's sold as a kit it's not subaru specific and you need a brass Ferrell to fit the oil temperature sender into a bung over cylinder number 3 (hottest cylinder)

Got ya. Now am I better off putting both pres and temp in the adapter over #3?

No bud temp in the bung over number 3 oil pressure in place of the factory oil pressure wiring (behind the alternator) [emoji6]

EBay has them for a but cheaper too

Called advanced automotive about the adapter and got scoffed at for buying a depo gauge [emoji22] spoke to mse performance and I'm going to buy from them.
