Nevell
Had fun 2day spent hours getting the turbo inlet to fit as I had to cutt bits off as the fit was **** , the recirc pipe was halfway under inlet so had to buy a copper 28 mm end cap to put in and blank it off, can't send it back as I cutt it up lol now it's doing my head in as I got engine OCD and it don't look to good lol , started the car up , air lock , I could hear it sucking like a fish , cleared that , turbo is sweet as a nut , very quiet compared to my td04 , when for a little drive off boost , done one short boost , and !Removed! me I had to hang on for dear life ,no more boosting till remap , then on way home car just died , would not start for **** , plugged the reader in P0102 and P0113 maf , I unplugged the maf car started straight away , drove home , new maf ordered , it wanted to go way past 1 bar lol lesson learnt , don't get excited and kill engine bit by bit lol , before remap , ordered some NGK PFR7B spark plugs and , got some g40'coolant and 10 litres of de ironised water , List. Of things to do 1 fuel pump 2 injectors , on day of map 3plugs and service 4 boost solenoid , on day of map 5 new maf now 6 remap on 24 th Most likely new clutch lol after Quick wash Oh and I named my car 2 day lol Cookie Monster lol
savage bulldogs
Busy day then [emoji4] Check you haven't got a air leak anywhere nevell as any discrepancies between the amount of air the maf reads and what pressure the map reads in the inlet might also pop up a maf or map code (could be a cheap fix [emoji6] )
stants
What software you going for when it's mapped ? Not thought about having the maf mapped out ?
Gaulson
Have words with Cusco about some reconditioned ones mate. Yeah I've sent him a PM but not had a reply yet, I'm sure he will get back to me when he has chance :). It's either I go for new calipers or just swap the seals myself. All that power ready to be unleashed and you can't, must be frustrating Nevell ;). I'm a little bit the same, I can't put my foot down properly otherwise I start losing coolant... I also can't brake hard haha. Excuse to go round corners fast though ;). He's not short for cash then Savage? lol. Unfortunate that happened though. They sound lovely, couple of MK1 and 2 escorts in the rally this weekend with throttle bodies. Hell of a sound!

stants
Set off down the motorway within a mile I get a really jerky ride and gradual loss of power. Thought I had a caliper stuck. No smoke or smell, starting to worry as I have my daughter in the car. Look underneath the bonnet to see the ic top hose off I'd forgotten to tighten it up when I swapped the coolers over [emoji15]

stants
If its one thing that genuinely scares the hell out of me is being sat on the side of the motorway.
Dogconker
I used to work there! Lost two works cars on the hard shoulder with flashing lights and chevrons, both taken out by errant lorries, I was shutting the door on one when a foreign lorry literally took it out of my hand and turned it into a debris field, car was about 6ft long afterwards, started as an Astra estate! So I fully understand where you're coming from. Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
Gaulson
I'm enjoying driving round in my lovely clean car :). Pulled my mudflap off on a curb, oops! Will pop it back on in a bit, nothing was damaged :). Hate parking round my work. Dog, did it look like the newer astra hatch then?

stants
Well it was no where near the claimed output but then again it's a twenty year old motor, so ended up with good hp gain and 50ft lbs of extra torque, [emoji16] and it makes peak output at just shy of 3.5k Oh and it was running very rich Afr of around 15.3 so now all in trim and the boost has been increased to 1.1 bar whoop !
tom_gr7
Washed and waxed mine on Saturday :) What looks like !Removed! pterodactyl shat on it today! Gaulson
That is a pretty harsh but brillant prank! What colour did you go for? lol. Still can't believe my car misbehaved this morning, what actually happened is I was reversing up a slight curb, I'm talking half an inch! The mud flap touched the wheel which in turn grabbed it and pulled it off it's mounting. Car basically chewed it's own flap! :D
