Scoobyghost Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 I can't contain my excitement any longer. My car is in today with Duncan for a remap! I have to wait all the way till 2pm though [emoji20] I'm hoping to hit 270hp but I'm more interested in the torque and the Lower range punch. [emoji1] [emoji1] [emoji38] [emoji38] 4
savage bulldogs Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Best of luck ghost . I'm sure the extra boost and a few more spg (smiles per gallon) will make it your favourite mod so far [emoji6] 1
Scoobyghost Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 I'm already smiling ear to ear. Anymore and I think my face is gonna crack.
Loz Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Dropped the car off for a new clutch and flywheel, the guys suspect the flywheel was never changed last time. I may have also just bought a full leather interior which will be fitted at the same time for me. :)
stants Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 Loz, did you have a look at your engine mounts ? Been told excessively worn mounts contribute to clutch judder when warmed up
Loz Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 I haven't tbh, I've taken the car to a local Forester specialist and explained all that's happened. For the moment I'm confident they'll cure it, finger's crossed!
savage bulldogs Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Had a couple of bikers egging me on down some b roads I just kept to the speed limit but lost them on the twistys due to not braking . Eventually came to a round about leading to the carriage way with both bikes beside me giving me the thumbs up [emoji41] as we pulled away one of them went like a missile the other sat next to me by the time I changed out of 3rd on the slip lane he was a good 2 car lengths behind . Next exit was a Shell garage so I pulled in to v power up (shortly followed by the other bike) and the 1000cc kawasaki was sitting they're filling up as well . Got chatting with them and asked why the other bike didn't overtake as well ? Mines only a 600cc and I couldn't catch you cos that old scoob of yours is fooking fast [emoji4] 2
Scoobyghost Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 She's had a pre run and made 250hp. That's decat 3" turbo back, panel filter, 3 port and rcm fuel pump. He said car is healthy. Good air/fuel ratio. Now he's mapping. [emoji1] [emoji1] [emoji1]
stants Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 Is that a different figure to the last rr session you had ? Same dyno or different location ?
Scoobyghost Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 I got 234 before but didn't have decat, 3 port or panel in it. Different dyno
Scoobyghost Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 All done. 276/280 [emoji1] [emoji1] [emoji1] [emoji1] [emoji1] he said the car is running perfect. Massive smile on his face so that can only be good news. I'm well chuffed. For those interested. It was 211 standard. 3" centre and rear put it to 234. Adding the decat downpipe, panel filter and 3 port made 250. Now after mapping and brining it all together I'm at 276. He said the only thing stopping more is my turbo. 3
stants Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 Well done chap bet your pleased, that 276bhp 280ftlbs? [emoji16]
Scoobyghost Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Yes 276hp and 280ftlb. I more chuffed how complimentary he was about my car. [emoji5] [emoji5] Gonna be leaving in a bit for a test. Edit: I'm now running 1.1bar instead of 0.8 Edit again: 1.3bar boost. 4
savage bulldogs Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Nice one time to go home the long way and drink all the milk so you can go out again and get some more [emoji4]
stants Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 Great stuff ! Brake upgrade needed or you on 4pots already ?
Scoobyghost Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Fu uck that makes a huge difference. It's almost scary. Theres no time for a blink between 1st and 2nd. Brakes are def getting a change. It's so easy to get the speed up now. Unbelievable difference. Duncan's done a top job for me here. 1
stants Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 Glad your enjoying it, Give it two months and you'll be so used to it you'll think mmm what upgrades next [emoji51]
Scoobyghost Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 I know [emoji38] mad though. I think next on the list is arb, drop links and brakes. Then start on the body work
Mne666 Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 I know [emoji38] mad though. I think next on the list is arb, drop links and brakes. Then start on the body work What sort of money are we Talking for the map work?
Xander Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Anyone know where I can get a wheel arch liner? And what I should expect to pay. I have had a Google around with no luck so far. Was driving on the motor way today and randomly had a scraping noise so looked and the arch liner was bent back on its self and was been warn away so about 6 inches shorter than the drivers side. I have cable tied it in place for now but the wind will still get into it so could do with replacing it really. -- I make Films and Website for people
Mne666 Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 £620. Map and dyno time. What power did it make? Quite a lot more than a vw or audi to map but I guess this is all custom
