Seminole81's 2006 Widetrack STi Build
kershaw-330s replied to Seminole81's topic in Subaru Build Threads
Yep, that's what I was thinking...either that or the fuse was actually gone and it just took a few to reset it [emoji848] Being an electrican I have to ask why did the fuse blow there must have been a fault at some point to make the fuse blow . Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk -

My argument would be not to spend £900 on shocks and springs you could get a set of bc coilovers for less than that about £700 for a decent set brand new , and you will get much more adjustability with coilovers, but ride comfort may be slightly compromised but depending on how big you budget is you can't get much better than ohlins , kws and nitron coils although they draw a premium , the are the best quality you can get , and will be a much lesser compromise to your ride comfort Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk

I assume it would be fully synthetic from factory, and tbh it's worth doing it even if the manual doesn't say so ;) Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk

With regards to you abs issues are you still running stock size rubber because sometimes if you go aside bigger but not the right width it can effect the abs sensors and make it over sensitive Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk

I've heard mixed reviews about tien springs . Regarding sagging after time and corrosion issues . I think most people of just running springs use eibach springs Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk

Lol well back to the point all you really need is hawk sti turbo ( other turbos are available lol ) , injectors and a bigger pump and you should be able to run 350 easy , now you've got that intercooler ;) Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk -

Your totally missing my point . I'm actoualy crying with laughter at your ignorance, I never said they were identical I was showing an example of what is available also you can't see the compressor wheel in the pics I posted :/ so how you came to that conclusion I don't know lol . I put your hostility don't to frustration, that you've had your head up clinics !Removed! for so long you've lost all logic and reason ! Clinic only brag about it being their turbo because they're one of if not the only uk distributors of Blouch. they may well spec the turbos but to think they are exclusive to clinic is just naive . it only because they've change the name so you don't know , and brand it as their own, im quite sure all the sc range can be bought from Blouch or another retailer under a different name for less money, because what parts do clinic manufacture? None ? So they come out the factory like that. engine tuner specd my mamba it doesn't say mamba on it anywhere. That doesn't mean they designed the dam thing they could write a thread on scooby net too saying why they chose different things , and why things are different they could even post some figures of development , doesn't mean I can't ring mamba and get a 2871 to exact same spec for Cheeper . . Pow ! pow ! pow ! that me firing off again in case you were wondering Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk -

kershaw-330s replied to Piggysniffer's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
I'm unsure what you think clinic do so magical clinic do nothing to them, apart from post them to people clinic spec cheep sell at ridiculous mark up, because you can buy any Blouch you like online considerably Cheeper too .. Here are some , better spec than clinic too . that's a 400 hp turbo with a Mitsubishi core This one is the most well know dominator with a garret core 470hp turbo , And this one is a tdo6 hybrid with a garret core a 440 + hp turbo, they also look a lot better too and this is just a small sample of the Blouch turbos available, I fail to see how they could even be modified to be better because they do everything from factory .. Maybe you would like to shed some light on this as you seem to know so much about the scooby clinic range Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk -
350bhp 2.5 engine
kershaw-330s replied to Piggysniffer's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
Ahhh yes I remember him saying about he was waiting for a company to resolve an issue with a turbo he used to supply, he now specs the MDX555 turbo using coated turbine housing and 11 blade billet wheel £1794 which is a turbo dynamics turbo , and looks a very good turbo has all the extras . the mamba turbo I believe is supposed to engine tuner own brand turbo now, like Blouch and clinic , it is apparently built to they're spec and doesn't say mamba on them anywhere , so they have some sort of arrangement with them . although I'm sceptical when tuners say this how much different it really is to the regular ones on the shelf . kershaw-330s replied to Piggysniffer's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
I've had the engine tuner gtx2871 has an 11blade billet wheel and uprated ceramic ball bearings had it on for a year now really punchy and pulls to redline, when I spoke about turbos I went for that instead of the md321 unsure of name , only because of price , Alan did say the Bloch would do the same job but didn't recommend them as he says the md was a superior turbo for the same or lesser price, but the mamba was about 1k instead of over 1500 it was a no brainer for me at the time as already well over my budget, I'm unsure what the t36 is but I asume it's a mamba ? When I spoke to Alan about them this time last year he assured me it was a quality turbo as I had my reservations about them and I said to him strait I don't wana pay 1k for a pile of !Removed! that going to fail and he assured me it wouldn't. And they are all independently balanced in a factory in Germany after being manufactured. And carry a 2year warranty . I've not heard of the oil problem tbh but I know they changed a water return or feed pipe on they're Gtx range to help prevent the coolant boiling in the pick up, but I was saying to Mike the other day the turbo I have is great and it does exactly what I requested from engine tuner and that was for it to be super responsive and 400bhp can't argue because that's exactly what it does i lt spools instantly the low down is extreme but now I wish I went the next size up for that raw rip your face off at the high rpm , but I spose we can't have it all lol Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk
