  1. Drained the excess oil I put in it finally. What a ball ache! Even after all that still not sure if it's right, every time I put dipstick in I get it showing a different level [emoji23]. Going to give it time to properly settle and try again later.
  2. Yea I've seen that method just going to have to buy something next week to do it with
  3. Been a proper moron. Supposed to be going to Japshow. Ticket bought, cleaned and waxed yesterday, didn't even go to pub in lovely sunshine yesterday so I wouldn't be too rough. Then what do I go and do? Overfill it with oil that's what [emoji35][emoji35]. Proper fuming with myself. Blame it on being tired, rushing, I don't know. But for some reason I just poured a full litre in without checking as I go along like normal. No idea why, its like I had a brain !Removed! or something. Now cars stranded until I can sort draining it. So !Removed! off!! [emoji35] £30 just wasted on ticket and oil now too. Argh!!
  4. Think I might have to drop out. Checked oil this morning before setting off and was at the lowest point. **** myself and just topped up with 1l and now it's well above the max point [emoji21]. Going to give it a bit to cool down and double check but may have to get it drained.
  5. I'm planning on getting there between 830-9ish tomorrow all being well. If anyone is coming from north and wants to convoy down just give me a shout. I'm in Sheffield.
  6. Gave it a quick wash and wax ready for Japshow tomorrow. Obligatory reflection shot. Not as good as some I see but I'm no detailer [emoji23]
  7. Holy ****! That's a bad site :( gutted for you mate. Least you're ok. I've got my ticket now too. Cheers!
  8. Noooo! I use that card quite a lot. Saved me a good amount of cash up to now 😣
  9. If you like your car to stay clean for more than a hour do NOT get white. Trust me, I've got one [emoji21]. Same problem as black, looks amazing when clean but only takes a few hours to look **** again. White shows up scratches and swirls less than black but shows up road tar more. So it depends which is worse for you. Either way both are bad choices of colour.
  10. Soz for late reply been a busy few days. Unfortunately where I live it's a shared parking area, you don't get your own particular space so would be unable to build a car port otherwise I absolutely would. I ended up giving her much needed wash and wax and decided I'll try cover out for a bit. Looks much better cleaned up. Very happy with the cover, fits really well!! Only wing mirrors look odd but that's because mine are folded in. It is a right pain messing about with taking off and putting on though, it's easy but still more faffing than I want to just head out in it. We'll see. Need to keep checking it isn't getting moisture in too.
  11. Wish I could, not mine to chop. Plus they're fookin massive [emoji23]
  12. Really starting to wonder if I can realistically keep my car since moving to my new house. This can happen after just one night of being parked due to surrounding trees. Gets absolutely covered. It blocks all drainage channels and gets stuck everywhere. Plus there's a horrible, rough sticky layer on it. I haven't got time to be cleaning it every day and sometimes not even every week. But can't leave it like that, paint won't last a year and it proper winds me up being in that state. Ive just got my cover through but looking at it and reading instructions it's going to be a right pain to put on and off often. It's not a daily by any means but gets used often enough for it to be a pain. Plus obviously got to be wary of any moisture getting in. Not sure what to do... 😔
  13. Yea it's a pain in !Removed!, if I'd have known about the locking thing I wouldn't have taken it to him in first place I don't think. I actually didn't know about that as I'd only used GR before. Nevermind. Regardless of that as long as it's possible to flash it and start again that's fine with me just wanted to make sure it was possible. Even if it will cost me more.
  14. Wondering if anybody might shed some light on this for me please. I've got a Alcatek ECU on my Version 4 classic, which Andy Carr remapped. Not long after I've found out he locks the ECU after mapping so it can't be tweaked or adjusted without his code to release it. Is there anything any other mappers can do? Would they be able to flash it and start again or do I need another ECU? I only ask because I'd rather take it to GR or another mapper for my future mods. Or am I not giving Carr enough credit & get him to tweak it - bonus being it'd be a lot cheaper than a full Remap. Only thinking of changing because I've always used GR in the past and just from things I've heard about Carr. But then again, every mapper has some detractors.
  15. Awesome pics David. Where abouts were they taken? & good work Hudson! Would like to do same but I'm too worried about acodehtally getting overspray on my paint or glass.
  16. Sorry to hear about this mate. Yes the classic STi box is still 5 speed. It was the newage STi's (2001 onward) that had 6 speed. You'll have to get the code off the box to find out for sure. But unfortunately even the STi 5 speed boxes are pretty weak and don't take much abuse/ power before they tend to fail. Could well be a STi box and you've just been unlucky with it failing so soon after you get it.
  17. Try these mate, I've used them before and seemed good quality - http://www.tegiwaimports.com/select-car/subaru/classic-impreza/dress-up/tegiwa-engine-bay-bolts-washers.html Ive just ordered my cover, £190.00 down 😭. Got a all singing and dancing Stormforce one with alarm and lock kit just in case. Bought one of the expensive ones due to what I've heard about the cheaper ones trapping moisture and scratching paint in the wind. Couldn't stretch to the full blown £280 top of line one though unfortunately. Hopefully got a good balance between quality and cost still. Took a lot more research for a cover than I expected lol.
  18. Cheers mate. Will do on a day it eventually stops raining haha
  19. I've got a sc36 at minute but will eventually get a md321 for about 400. Was told on last map I could do with some bigger injectors as they're holding it back even with the mods it's currently got
  20. Haha, luckily it's not bird crap. Don't have to park directly under one but it gets covered in all leaves, blossom etc. From wind and gets a slightly rough, sticky coating on it after a few days if left. Pain in backside to keep clean. I have to rinse it basically everyday to stop it getting a mess.
  21. Glad you like it 😄. Was good having a quick catch up will have to go for a drive and a drink next time 👍🏻 Picked it up yesterday from SSS, had a breather pipe for fuel system relocated and new alternator belt fitted. Seems to have sorted a fuel smell issue and belt squeeks. Time will tell for sure. Ive recently moved house too, positive - now got off road parking. Negative - trees all around!!! Was valeted at SSS too, lasted one night before getting crap all over it again from surrounding trees. Going to have to invest in a cover.
  22. Thanks guys, spoke to a mechanic I always use today about them too and he says they're spot on so going to get them ordered. Cheers!
  23. Sound, put me down for 1 then please and send me your payment info. Cheers [emoji106]
  24. http://lateralperformance.co.uk/product.php/122/25/injector_adapter_kit_to_fit_phase_two_injectors__into_phase_one__93__98__rails Just wondered if anyone has any experience or knowledge with these? Pricing up injectors it seems a few hundred £'s cheaper to get these Adaptors and a set of high flow modified phase 2 injectors than it is to buy a set that will fit the phase 1/1.5 rails. But not 100% sure I can trust these?
  25. There still some places for this?
