  1. If they are fubar'd, give Alyn @ asperformance a bell to discuss a better option for a replacement . As he knows his scoobs and I've always been happy with his pricing and brand options [emoji6] Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  2. Are they definitely warped ? As if some pads and discs ain't put through their pases the grooves clog up . If thats the case sometimes getting a lot of heat in them (braking hard on a slip lane a few times) can clean em up . Might be worth a try before complaining to them . I warped 2 sets on mine but i think that was due to having red stuff & kevlar hard compound pads for road use .as ive done 1.5k on my current adb discs and pfc pads without issues (so far lol ) Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  3. Was the geo out and if they adjusted it do you know if that should have resolved the issue ? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  4. Yep great day out , my 13yr daughter loved it too [emoji41] Was nice to see such a selection on the stand , i think we only had bug ,hatch and newer versions missing . Pull yer fingers out boys [emoji16] , stants was there and he doesn't even own a scoob atm [emoji852] I wouldnt mind just going on a rwyb day next year as well , as i could do with the pratice to do the old girl justice [emoji23] Nice to catch up with those i spoke to , sorry i missed a few of you and big thanks to Geoff for taking the time to organize us rabble đź–’ Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  5. Stayed dry for japshow finale @ santa pod today [emoji41] Although the scoob was flithy by the time i got there [emoji849] only took a couple of pics of our stand but hopefully someone else took better ones ? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  6. Nice choice Geoff [emoji41] Shame it looks like we'll have a few extra spaces but at least they'll be a bit of space between us all . .... So nobody's scoob catches tin worm of mine [emoji16] Won't be doing the 1/4 my 13yr old daughter's coming along, as she wants to be a mechanic [emoji849] bless . Should be there by 9 ish though ,fingers crossed for a dry day 🤞 Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  7. The crystals are a straight swap , the bumper and grill are interchangeable too . The indicators on v1 to v4 are the same but you'll need to fit v5 onwards indicators along with the v5 onwards bumper . I'm fairly sure the fogs are standard fitment on all classics but the v5 onwards fog covers are different to earlier ones for sure. Can't help with the dash compatibility , although the v4 onwards has the facelift interior im not sure about the clocks . Saying that ive seen a few newage (bug onwards) full dash and clock conversions in classics , so anything's possible Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  8. Jdm Imports are sometimes referred to as "grey imports " due to the history either being in Japanese or missing but the correct colour should be in the log book . Sometimes the model can be registered wrong , I've seen a few classic wrx's listed as N.A 's . On impreza's (under the bonnet) there's a I.D plaque near the passenger's suspension turret . Cross check the vin / chassis codes off that to the numbers on the v5 . Take note of the model code and give that a google , this should tell you exactly what model it is . 9. Was unaware that the other people going that i know , were already on other club stands [emoji849] Maybe post it up on the f.b page , as theres been a couple of people asking about stand passes in there [emoji6] Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  10. Might be able to fill the stand spaces if there's not any takers on here , how many passes have you got spare ? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  11. Yeah as long as its definitely turbo and not engine issues . If it was standard , mint bodywork and good condition its probably worth ÂŁ6k ish Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  12. It does depend on rust , general condition , correct diagonis of fault and if the cambelt and clutch are due soon . But Id guess at ÂŁ3k to ÂŁ4k Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  13. Is the suspension standard and do you know whats out ? Ie camber ,caister, toe ect . As the rear suspension is pretty unadjustable with only a small amount of movement in the strutt to hub mounting bolts . Most use elbaich or whiteline camber bolts (under ÂŁ30 for the pair) to make the rear camber adjustable. Due to it being non adjustable as standard id check all rear bushes , rear lateral link and trailing arms for wear or damage . As just buying camber bolts and adjusting the rear on 1 side could just mask a faulty part [emoji6] Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  14. Prodrive boxes are renound for being 1 of the quietest boxes out there but ive never tried tbh Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  15. Loud pipes save lives [emoji16] You could always just buy a subtle looking back box thats a bit louder than the prodrive Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  16. Eventually i traced the problem to a 3rd inline alarm fuse hidden behind the center consul [emoji851] The hovering had dislodged a old scotch blocked connection behind the ecu harness, which had grounded out on the ecu bracket and blown the alarm fuse [emoji55] At least I'd had a crash course in scooby electrics and have given most of the electrical system a good checking over [emoji41] With that fixed it started up but ran a bit rough to start with which i assumed was due to the unburnt fuel in the bores .As it soon stopped misfiring and ran fine for 2 weeks .. .. untill the mrs drove it again and it stalled and started running rough ffs . First guess was that the unburnt fuel had fouled up the plugs as it had been taking a few extra turns to start . New set of platinum tipped heat 7 plugs and it seems to be running fine again [emoji41] Although i was glad i removed a fair bit of the oe pipework as i only needed to get the washer bottle out of the way to gain access to the coilpacks [emoji6] Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  17. I had softened the coilovers by 4 clicks all round for the nearly 1,000 mile round trip to Cornwall. Was well impressed with the comfort for the 6 .5 hr trip ,especially with 4 up and a boot full of cases . Kudos to my mapper too as 310 miles from a small jdm classic tank aint too shabby [emoji16] Wife decided to hover the scoob out but 2 hrs later it kept just cranking over and wouldn't start [emoji848] After checking all the usual stuff (fuses, relays ect) it was time to dust off the multimeter and investigate further [emoji852] I downloaded a few wiring diagrams and About a hr later it looked like this [emoji849] Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  18. I've fitted the new front t2 uprated dba discs and a nice 970 mile round trip to Cornwall and back bedded them in nicely . Now leaving me with a much better pedal feel and a dam site better performing brakes [emoji41] Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  19. Fitted and shes running fine again [emoji41] Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  20. Last time the mrs drove the scoob i ended up with the dash out to fix a electrical fault [emoji852] This time I've ended up with a bad misfire ffs [emoji23] So today i be mostly fitting new spark plugs instead of prepping the scoob for japshow finale next sunday [emoji57] Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  21. Have you done a ecu self code check ? If not have a squint in the tech section on here for the how 2 . Its probably because the ecu needs a speed reading to help calculate load . Have you checked the upper and lower cable join and where the cable goes into the box ,are fitted correctly? As they can be a pita to line up . Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  22. There does seem to be a little bit of oil pooling at the bottom of both cylinders in those pics . I wouldn't say that was excessive leaking though , so it doesnt need to be done straight away . It is probably the cause of oil on the threads , so just bear it in mind and if it gets any worse or the cam cover gasket starts to leak , replace the whole kit at once . Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  23. No problem bud đź–’ If its not on the electrode tip end and its just on the middle/top of the thread , that would probably point to the cam cover to spark plug gaskets weaping . If they do need replacing import car parts is about the best place to buy the oe gaskets and "half moons" . Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  24. Id add a 3 port boost solenoid to the list , if you haven't got 1 already . Unsure what turbo you have but if its a vf34 or vf35 youd should see 330hp ish with the mods you've listed . Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  25. That looks like a 1 way vacuum valve but im not familiar with the newer models Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
