  1. Its still a lot of money for a full system including sports cat ,i only needed a cat back . Do you definitely need a whole system ?
  2. Have you just checked ebay ? As klassic posted a screen shot of their website, might be worth a try ?
  3. I traced the break in the ignition power to the fuse then checked the wire for damage . a old scotch blocked connection near the ecu , looks like thats arc'd out on the ecu mount. Tidied everything up i found along the way and checked most of the interior loom too [emoji15] So hopefully i shouldn't have anymore leccy gremlins in the near future [emoji6]
  4. Sorry steve mines fixed now so you'll have to find someone else to supply the matches now .... Cos all is well in the savage scooby household again [emoji41]
  5. Alarm system was opening the doors ,dis arming the siren and a few other features were working on it ,id checked all oe fuses and the 2 inline alarm fuses i knew of but there was a 3rd inline alarm fuse hidden behind the center consoul [emoji39] Id have never found it if i hadn't checked the loom so thoroughly [emoji851] but by fook i have never been so happy to see a blown fuse .[emoji23][emoji16]
  6. Have you done a ecu self code check and reset ?
  7. Yeah Afaik any ecutek mapper should be able to remap it with a new licence but that costs £150 just for a new licence
  8. Any paperwork to say who mapped it or can you ask the previous owner? As it would at least save you the ecutek licence fee if you went back to the original mapper
  9. Subaru turbo tanks are never full for long anyways but fill it up again ,hit 88mph ,flick a match outta your window, go back to 1994 and get me a newer version of my 94 sti [emoji23]
  10. If theres no running issues on boost id have a guess at the return to tank pipe on top of the fuel pump access opening or the seal on the access opening
  11. I've disconnected the throttle pedal and fitted a on off switch. #hoonigan [emoji23] Na id have to remove the complete pedal assembly to fit the matching throttle pedal [emoji15] one of those jobs i keep putting off [emoji6]
  12. Yeah you have to take the clutch off ,remove the thrust race, align the clutch and torque the pressure plate back down . I bought a cheap "lazer" alignment tool ftom halfrauds
  13. Well checked pretty much everything on the dash side ,ecu harness ground check tomorrow [emoji23]
  14. Yeah i hate sparky stuff ,much more at home with a spanner . Still not found the fault yet , but i did by pass a fuse .thats not getting power . it fires up and the ecu avcr and afr gauge work fine just no dash lights (eml ,handbrake ,ect) so at least i know its not something expensive fried . On a plus side im learning a lot about the loom and the scoobs getting lighter by the day [emoji23]
  15. Checked a load of stuff with the multi meter and managed to redneck some power to the ignition fuse [emoji51] ..... and it starts and runs fine with power to everything [emoji41] but dash lights dont come on [emoji57] Hmmm scooby sparky crash course ,anyone [emoji23]
  16. Sweet glad your up n running [emoji41] I only had a couple of hrs at it last night ,tested most things and the fault seems to be between ignition barrel (has live) and the ignition fuse in the cabin (no live ) . Had a few hrs looking through wiring diagrams last night and hopefully its the under bonnet fuse that i didn't check ,as i thought it was a relay for the aircon [emoji55]
  17. Check and clean the engine and engine loom earths . Could try adding a extra engine earth directly from the battery negative to a bolt on the engine block . as im sure some bugeyes do have earthing issues , although it normally affects the cam sensor readings and goes into limp mode . Was the tps calibrated correctly when fitted ?
  18. Nice choice chap [emoji106] best of luck with the sale , might be better to stick a for sale sign in while you take it to shows . Then once youve enjoyed it this summer chuck a more detailed post in the for sale section .
  19. @Klassicsubi that looks like the 1 i bought just make sure its for a gc8 as the lengths and rear hangers differ on the newage . Jesse thats the pics from when i bought mine about 18 months ago , came in a cobra box with the cobra warranty inside [emoji106]
  20. Quite possibly the same company , unless they've got some sort of agreement with cobra . As they're definitely the genuine article, just almost half price due to the brush finish pipework.
  21. Well after driving almost 1k miles in the scoob the mrs got in it today ,started on the button ,idled for 5 mins then stalled and wouldn't re start [emoji57] Just turns over with no power to the dash ,fc controller, avcr ,afr gauge or lights . But the parking lights ,stereo, multi gauge ,ciggy lighter all work fine [emoji15] So today i be mostly reading wiring diagrams [emoji52]
  22. You have to take the thrust race off the clutch by gently removing the "spring circlips" in the middle of the thrust race . Once separated from the clutch put the circlips back in the thrust race . Re assemble the fork ,thrust race and (lubed ) pivot pin into the box . Tie the fork back to keep the thrust race away from the clutch plate assembly while re locating the box . Once the box is on and the bellhousing is fully mated with the engine ,untie the fork and gently (by hand) pull the fork to make the thrust race "lock" into the clutch . You should hear a click as the "circlip springs " lock the thrust race in place . Hope you can make sense of that ? Unfortunately i haven't got any pics of refitting the clutch fork
  23. Hi SB, do you mean seller:piranhaproducts-uk ? Hmm possibly [emoji55] it was last year lol . I had a quick squint and i couldn't find them on ebay atm . My receipts are in the loft , gotta hide em from the wife somewhere [emoji23] Did have this number on my phone from them though . 01142424009 I had to get the part numbers off cobras website and give them those to get a quote
  24. Nice looking unabused example of the first type r's [emoji41] A mate had 1 of these it made 306 hp with a cat back and filter on the standard map
