Haha I nearly said have you checked the filter is on tight to make a seal didn't think about it having a hole in. Anyway as Pete said easy fix that just a shame you have a bit of a clean up operation on your hands now :D

As Adam says I know Martin in Sheffield will send them away to be skimmed if the flywheel was any good. Unfortunately with mine was lightened and cracked so had to have another one put in :( But these have been highly recommended in the past. So might be worth ringing around and choose which one suits you more for distance vs price. Oh thats not good at all mate, I'm with the others if you have just bought it get it back straight away if everything's covered in oil somethings gone major wrong some where you could clean it off to find the problem but I'd just get it back for a repair or money back :(

Hi mate welcome to S.O.C I'd just keep an eye on the coolant but if you can't see any signs of oil anywhere around the engine or the turbo and have no overheating issue and it's driving fine I'd say it's just 1st time ownership nerves ;) I still do it always listening for noises and signs of anything amiss :)

I would have said the accelerator cable too but if you don't think it's that might be worth giving the throttle body butterfly a clean might be gunked up and sticking open a fraction sometimes. How high is the clutch for the biting point too could be a sign of the clutch going in the early stages.

Glad to hear you're doing the work and getting her back on the road slowly. It amazes me how many people do the belts and bugger them up so hopefully next update will be with smiles :D
