  1. Ha ha, I love predictive text, yes before anyone else says it my engineer was a midget [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I did car park meets too, but when I did it I had the smallest engineer there at 2.0l and 200bhp, we never did burnout a or any of that and often locals would come over to look at and talk about the cars. It's different now. Hey, how's about that, I said all that without having to say "when I were a lad . . . . " Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I know its a golf, it was a rhetorical question, in hindsight I should have selected something different but I hate Passats Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. No im one of the good guys, I love conkers without goggles, I only get involved with proper safety like excavators cranes and crap blowing up. I learnt everything it know from the Mary Whitehouse experience, "now there was no need for that to happen". Can't put up link as on phone I'm more from the Steve Hughes camp, search Steve Hughes Safety on YouTube Have a look on you tube for Chopper Reid safety, im not quite that bad, but it's quite funny I'll post up links when I'm on lappety top later. Unless you find them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Oi! Careful, you might want to check what I do for a living before you start poking fun. I work as a safety consultant (one of the sensible ones) I work in construction and offshore oil and gas where there are real risks to sort out, so I'm going to defend myself here. However, there are nobs out there We had a "jobs worth" safety guy once do an assessment for COSHH on hand cleanser (why you'd do that anyway is beyond me) but anyway, in his assessment when he got to the bit on PPE he actually put "must wear waterproof gloves", for hand cleaner in a toilet. It's these people that cause the lunacy, and there's loads out there sadly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Well I'm off out for a drive to Chester, for work but it's a sunny day so will take the scenic route over the M6 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Not according to the British standards or the IEE guidance on temporary cabins and free standing generators . It says anything over 10kva to be earthed. If the chassis becomes live how would the RCD trip unless it leaked to earth? I get the plastic pipes though, I've seen that done. I've also seen someone earth a pressure washer with a 3ft spike which was attached by a clip to the plastic/rubber hose Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. That's the sort of thing they should be doing now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Suppose its cheaper than buying an exhaust, bet its noisy too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I'm no expert but that doesn't sound right. I remember having an argument about earthing a temporary site cabin with an inbuilt 16kVa generator. I got the response "we don't need to earth it it's fitted with an RCD". Some people eh? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Maybe he's done both sides to save on the cost of racing stripes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I have an XV which is the Ourback's baby brother, they fit Yokohama Geolandars and they're pretty good in mud, gravel and snow. They're called an all season tyre but it's basically what used to be a town and country tyre. You should be ok on a bit if mud, not necessarily bog snorkelling though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Because he's nob, it's like asking why would you buy a Passat Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. It's got to this level? I actually have no response to that . . . Bon Jovi[emoji2] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. You could always take a couple of inches off the baby so it fits[emoji15] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. When I first saw that bottom photo, I thought you'd been in a wreck. That's a pretty serious demo job Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Haven't moved mine since Saturday, but next 2 days are going to be sunny and I'm off work do that should change [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Depends really, I imaging on a motorbike the Nurburgring is very wide. The TT track is the opposite. For cars I would say the TT track is harder purely because it's not really suitable for racing cars on unlike the nurburgring. So I guess I'd go with the TT track. But the TT track isn't really a circuit so for the toughest actual race track id say the ring Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Did you ever watch that vid of Tony Pond, was pretty impressive when you consider its a standard road car and not even 4 wheel drive. And it was a Rover, so the fact it even made it round was a feat in itself [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. If you want a real buzz, try putting green glass in the clear glass recycling bank. Sorry I'm just an adrenalin junky, what can I say? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Washed and buffed mine yesterday and the wife's as I'm not allowed a clean car if hers is dirty [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Dogconker

    world cup !

Football, blah! Hasn't got wheels on sorry [emoji12] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Welcome to the fold, hope the scoob serves you well Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. No good, looked at that a few times and all I can translate it too. To stop dog pooing surprise it by sticking a thumb up it? I'm guessing that's not right though [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Choice of car says it all. There are good professional drivers but sadly they're never the ones you meet, it's always the angry knobs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
