  1. True, but there’s something about the XV TFA makes it more prone, we never had this with our Hondas. I don’t find it a major issue though, I just use a moisture trap, generally works fine
  2. Yeah I think a lot suffer with it. abd this is a moisture trap, sucks the moisture out of the air so it doesn’t condense on the windscreen, others are available. http://www.halfords.com/motoring/car-accessories/interior-car-accessories/thomar-vehicle-dehumidifier?cm_mmc=Google+PLA-_-Car+Accessories-_-Interior+Car+Accessories-_-272416&istCompanyId=b8708c57-7a02-4cf6-b2c0-dc36b54a327e&istItemId=xwiaamixmi&istBid=tzwt&_$ja=tsid:94971|cid:868555876|agid:49387671572|tid:aud-297219197929:pla-330542459664|crid:203456299194|nw:g|rnd:5086344869649112444|dvc:m|adp:1o1|mt:|loc:1007103&gclid=EAIaIQobChMInvKChenN2AIVl0MYCh23Vww1EAQYASABEgKDlPD_BwE
  3. We’ve had 3 XVs and they all have suffered with condensation on the inside of the windscreen. Must be a design fault somewhere. mine is a 2013 and isn’t as bad as my wife’s 2017. But her last car also suffered to a certain extent. you could olive a mini moisture trap, risk is that they draw moisture in
  4. With doing though, finishes the back off nice. Though getting the vinyl out of some of the letters I’d a real pain, I picked it out carefully with an exacto knife
  5. They’re good stickers from him, you can barely tell they’re stick ons looks good, I went the other way with my badges with the stars in black, but that suits your car, not brave enough yet to black out the bout badges? Looks the part if you can take the plunge.
  6. You’re lucky, our dealership only do Subaru (which rarely get given out as courtesy cars) and MG (which barely qualify as a car at all!)
  7. Yep, and the government convinced us all to buy them.
  8. That’s unfortunate, the fix only takes 1 hr as my wife had it done. Obviously with yours chafing they need to do the wiring loom
  9. It’s pretty unusual for a battery to fail like that these days. Good that they’re looking after you, even if it does mean you’ve got to drive around in a shoebox for a while 😂
  10. Nice, need some nice badges now to go
  11. Well you’ll at least find it in the snow easily enough. wouod look nice with a blacked grille 😉
  12. Not exactly sure why you’d want to lower a 4x4 crossover, but hey, each to their own.
  13. They’re gel stickers, look like the real thing but you just stick them over the top of the original ones. I’ll find the guys email address I got them from and message it too you, tell him you’re from the Subaru club and you supplied some to other members, you just have to provide the length and height measurement to him (don’t forget the front and back are different sizes) its pretty easy as long as you follow the YouTube videos I’ll put the link up to some useful vids, i didn’t even take the grid off. I just masked off the mesh.
  14. I’ll let Swayze88 comment on the suitability of the one he used. What I can say is you’d be a fool not to have something because the top surface of the bumper will scratch real easy and Subaru’s tend to have thin paint. The official subaru one is very rugged and works as you’d expect but at a premium. To be honest any cover would do the trick, I just managed to negotiate mine into the purchase deal so that why I had an official one, not sure if I’d pay £80+ for it, though it does look nice.
  15. I don’t know the answer to that, I had a 2013 XV and that came with a 100k / 5yr warranty. Although the last 2 yrs only covers Drive train. i was thinking of getting a generic extended warranty next year.
  16. I like the orange and considered having one, it was the dealer saying he’d not be able to take it as a trade in, that and my wife hated it, thought it looked chavvy
  17. I was told by a dealer not to buy the orange XV unless you planned to scrap it when you’d finished, he said they were so hard to sell that they rarely took them as trade ins now. The XV is a good car, mine is a 2013. The 2.0D pulls to 60 in about 9 sec and handles nicely. But probably not as spacious as the legacy. You’ll get around 45+ mpg if you’re on A roads and driving sensibly
  18. At least yours didn’t have bird crap on it, and probably didn’t set you back £80
  19. Both the bumper protector and the stone chip guard I recall were £80 each from a subaru main dealer, that was fitted.
  20. Yep and that was our nearest Subaru main dealer, not worth me getting my hands dirty.
  21. Well we’ve had quite a bit of snow and the standard geolanders we’re fine, this morning on sheet ice they were pretty stable, I’ve onky had the dashboard light up two or three times, twice I made it 😊, the other time I was just a little ambitious.
  22. That’s a slippy slope, I can highly recommend the protector trim for the top of the rear bumper as that gets scratched really easily especially if like me you have a dog. See picture below. But I also got the stone chip guard and a couple of us on here dechromed the grill and badges to flat black which you might like.
  23. Sorry, I’ve bern busy with things. Good news is not much really with a car that old, just usual, service history etc, check tyres because at 50k they’ll probably be in their last legs if they’re the originals.
  24. Started replacing my oil every 6 months now. But I’m lazy so I get the garage to do it, they only charge me £80 and that includes the oil and filter do hardly worth getting my hands dirty. I knew there was some reset you could do but couldn’t remember what it was
