  7. i had once a car taken me over while going right at a roundabout since i was driving an artic lorry he got stuck between the trailer and the roundabout :o guess what he was not willing to move backwards and was shouting i was at fault!!!! in Australia it's better as the trucks have these signs on the back;
  8. info; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subaru_Sumo
  9. not found my forum post yet, but i did found the pictures on my abandoned Google+ (biton walstra) page;
  10. in the pasted when my brother was using a couple kilo watts he used some bitumen cut in triangles glued on the panels no that this helped as his whole car was moving by air
  11. it's a UK thing? as i never had this in Australia (they racing with BIG V8) and it's personal for me a big disadvantage of having a Subaru, even with my N/A Forester :o i just let them go as i have no interest in big exhausts, turbo engines, big tires etc. i have my Subaru because their reliability , driveability, safety, 4x4 and i like the SG shape. btw, the moment they take me over and don't see a scope on the hood they bugger off -_-
  12. cool you sorted it. still think that those switches are not so great as many Australian Subaru owners have problems of getting the contacts inside the switches dirty (burned) as a result not working. Many be we open the windows more (nice weather) then here in the UK? Or it's the dust? anyway only on the MY03 i had in Australia 3 out of the 7 switches didn't work...
  13. if you pressd the button with your lights on do they slightly dimm? if so it might be stuck. if not may be the switch it self as they are not the best out there. i made a how too on a Australian forum when i was living there. those switches are not too difficult to dismantel and clean the contacts with sand paper. when i have the time i will see if i can find my post.
  14. did give the Forester a quick wash in the rain, free water to rinse the car there is so much sand these days that i can wash my car every day :o
  15. you got still a loan for a previous car and now want to take out another loan to get an unknown XT? interest is at it's lowest point but will get up soon. so the ball is in your court... me thinks
  16. Hallo Mattes, Dass ist eine schones wagen. Viel spass, welkom und grusse, Biton
  17. may be the solution for the wind noise coming from the front doors?
  18. yep, yep, indeed. this put the car in self mode. very handy if needed to troubeshoot relays etc B) you just connect the two green connectors and switch on the ignition without starting the engine and the magic begins, well more you running around to check all the electric componence
  19. it does shows the complete description of the code including the code it self
  20. made a video about the diagnostics mode by connecting the green connectors
  21. Here a video of what happens when the green connectors are connected to put your Subaru in the diagnostics mode; enjoy
  22. probably 60 litres?
  23. checked the voltage of my battery and again it's on 12.23 volts so it might be time to buy a new one...
