Any experience with TurboSmart BOV?
Yea I know it's just paying out the £300 for a great noise only to discover it makes my car run rough... And I should have thought about it before my remap on Friday

Which model of BOV do you both have? Is it a DV26/EVO Twin piston pump? http://www.baileymotorsport.co.uk/PDF/2011_catalogue.pdf

ANYONE A PRODRIVE EXPERT!?
http://www.subarupartsstore.co.uk/product/Impreza_WRX_2.0_2003-2004_Performance_Pack_SACC2565 Yea my standard ECU made more BHP with just a upgraded air filter and a PPP back box (mapped to 99 RON) so can't be that much to it

ANYONE A PRODRIVE EXPERT!?
Ah I understand now [emoji16]Have you looked over at SN? I'm sure one of the breakers does WRX's. If not how about JapanesePerformance in Crawley? They have everything. They are a little more expensive that other breakers but they have a vast amount of stock - largest distributor in Europe I believe Another option would be to ask Duncan over at RaceDynamix if it's possible to remap the PPP ECU. Id probably go the JapanesePerformance route as they are close to me [emoji3]

Any experience with TurboSmart BOV?
The thing I like about the TS one (if I'm understanding the description right ) is that it can be set so that it doesn't vent at every gear change but just when you rag it. When I've looked at Hks and others they seem to be saying you can adjust them so they vent 50/50 or 75/25 but not so it only vents on higher RPM I'm not sure if I've misunderstood the TS description?

lol...yea my mate has one of those on his Skyline and I couldn't hear myself think (maybe I'm just an old git :P )

ANYONE A PRODRIVE EXPERT!?
I agree. I'm not sure why you'd want to do that? A customised map for your car would cost around £420 including on the Dyno. That would give a much better result over a bland mass produced prodrive map....without doubt.

Any experience with TurboSmart BOV?
That doesn't sound too bad to me mate. I have a prodrive back box so I don't think my exhaust would drown it out. A snorkel delete gave me a nice intake sound (although Duncan as some of the sound was my tired Turbo too) This is the one I was looking at... ", Turbosmart now have a DV that will vent to atmosphere and back into the air intake. Its dual ports feature sequential timing to allow quieter operation during normal driving alongside the benefit of a VTA when driving hard!" http://www.turbosmartdirect.com/Product-Categories/Dual-Port-Type-5-BOV-BPVs/Dual-Port-Maz-Sub-Black.html http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=47_61&products_id=691

Any experience with TurboSmart BOV?
Hi All, As title says. I'm doing 100 miles a day at the moment. Which equates to 3-4hrs in the car round the M25 through the Dartford crossing and always in traffic. I'd like a bit more noise but I don't want it too loud or going off overtime I ease off a 2k RPM. I read the Turbo Smart ones have a setting to mainly recirc and only blow to atmosphere when giving it full beans. Does anyone have any experience with them? If so, how do you find it, roughly what RPM does it go off and any change in the way your car drives? Jus

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
I don't know mate. I guess he may have left it there for storage or something...it was in an area next to the dyno room out of the way. Should have asked Keith but...well just felt uncomfortable...silly I know. What an awesome looking beast of a car! Didn't realise he had converted the lights into multiple air intakes...must be so fun to drive...him thread certainly inspired me.

Pipecross discount
Strange how companies work. You buy a filter off them then they give you a discount code. XMAS14 will give 10% off until 24th Dec. Www.thepipercrossshop.co.uk Perhaps not cheapest but I ordered at 4 and got it by noon the next day!

P1 = how much is it worth?
All depends on mileage, condition and whether it's standard or private/trade sale. I've seen them from £7.5k for 100k miles, nods private sale through to £15k nod mods 45k miles trade sale. They are quite rare in standard form...

go easy on me.

go easy on me.
Welcome mate. Do you know what it's mapped to now?

Hello, and looking to buy my first Subaru :)
That's a really good point. You do need to look over it with that in mind....and if I were you I'd keep £500-£1k for any incidentals....you probably won't need all of it but if you have that in reserve you won't be disappointed you bought a 20 year old car and something's gone wrong with it :)

Radar detectors - Does anybody still use them?
I've got it on iPhone. I'm very pleased with it too...no need for another Satnav..

Radar detectors - Does anybody still use them?
I have the copilot app on my phone as my satnav, traffic and speed camera warning device. I've turned off the turning messages but left on the vocal warnings for speed cameras...which is quite handy when you're in a new area.
