  1. Wotcha and welcome - I wanted a GT4 back in the day but finances could not quite stretch to it - had a 200sx instead which got me into just as much trouble 😁 Great that you know exaclty what you are looking for and I do think you will ned to travel as I have only seen 1 or 2 gravel express motors.. ever, quite the desirable model particularly with all the right bits still in place Good luck with the search and keep us updated
  2. Hi Justin - You have posted a comment and included a go fund me site, if people want to donate they will, if they do not they wont. Given you are new to the forum and your first post (however well intentioned) is requesting money I dont quite know what you were expecting. WRT advice for raising funds I would suggest a localised approach in the community where the individual has had a direct impact and therefore continued future benefit might generate a greater reponse as people a) know him b) can see the results of his work
  3. Fittings are the same, look on ebay, Facebook parts group as you are midlands based try Pole position in Wolves as they have some parts knocking about also try Nippon Auto Spares Ltd derby
  4. Nightmare - but great to hear you have it resolved πŸ‘
  5. Wotcha and welcome - Not too many of those motors about and I haven't heard of anyone tuning them. A manual setup will set you back around 3K for bits. Given the type of car you have I would potentially look at selling and buying a manual model as these A lines do appeal to a specific market
  6. I have used EBC pads for quite a few years on different models, every so often I would try different brands normally as a package deal with discs as well. Recently (last 3 years or so) I have been finding the fit out of the box is rubbish and I am having to file the edges to get the pads into the guides - It is like the hydraulic cutter is not cutting the metal backplate at 90 degrees but more 85? Now for the OEM standard replacement pads at Β£25 a set I was putting that down to price point vs quality but having just splurged the thick end of Β£250 on some yellow stuff pads I had higher expectations, 7 of the 8 pads (Fr & Rr) need filing to fit. Any one else come across this of just me? For the record I have had no issues with performance of the pads themselves, although I have just replaced Godspeeds on the front of the daily with yellow stuff so will be interesting to compare back to back - early result are comparable braking performance wise but the Yellow stuff seems to be a lot dustier
  7. I do not have a clue - not as familiar with the canbus signals yet - try draining the tank and see which one changes?
  8. Not heard of that one - hopefully one of our XV owners can shed some light on it, might be an additional module?
  9. I used a kenwood but for your budget you could get android units or there is this Pioneer specifically for the ipod https://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-pioneer-dmh-a240dab_p-43286.htm
  10. Have you tried all key options in the different doors? Even with a dead battery the doors will unlock on mine with key only?
  11. Wotcha and welcome - feel free to get stuck in, share photos when it arrives etc
  12. Wotcha and welcome - Looking good
  13. this is the thread I was about to post... I know Mr B has mentioned Pedders in the past being good but expensive in comparison and also monroe shocks
  14. Wotcha and welcome - hopefully you get your motor back, keep us posted πŸ‘
  15. Wotcha and welcome, yes they are addictive 😁 feel free to share photos etc all friendly on here
  16. both TUV approved, both high quality AL so not much difference there. WRT the cooling ducts, may work but I wonder how often you would need to be stripped and cleaned to remove the brake dust clogging up the grooves?
  17. A lovely example - good luck with the sale
  18. Hi this site has a few members globally located but for the most part is UK members with RHD cars, not really your target audience
  19. Wotcha and welcome - A great review for the BRZ 😁 feel free to share photos, get stuck in etc all friendly on here
