Hatchback STi
As previously said you wont get a reliable 400 with stock internals the cs400 has forged internals. If that is what you want though look at a rebuild first then fuel pump injectors replace rest of exhaust back box should be ok if it has been changed from oem

Aerial Upgrade?
digi aerial and radio are a more expensive option but best way I found was to drill and plumb in new bee sting - Rally cars drill for their two way comms so it doesnt spoil the look of the car (IMO) I drilled - process Big deep breath measure lots to ensure half way across roof take lining down inside centre tap with hole punch brand new drill bit for pilot hole brand new drill for larger hole use a coating of black heavy duty sealant inbetween the unit and the roof prior to winding the nut tight

Big end or little end?
Wotcha and welcome you may well have suffered oil starvation if there is no baffle plate fitted and you were doing long high speed corners the oil can be forced away from the pickup or also it may have been the standard coolant pump not pumping the coolant round - apparently the design is fine for lower / med revs but running at a constant level of higher revs can result in cavitation - this would result in the higher than usual temperatures

A perfect example of setting expectations when buying pads for a road car - if they have a track bias they will need to get some heat into them to perform properly but then they will really perform :P

WANTED: 8MM camcorder or player
Not subaru related but thought I would ask the question before spending cash on something used for a short while only. the father in law has a load of 8mm footage he wants to put on his PC - he dug out his camera but it no longer works. it seems pointless to buy a camera just for this purpose - as if he was to buy he would buy a sony which are still going for over £50 - he has enough tapes to make having them done by a professional it is going to be over £100 so... does anyone have an old 8mm or Hi8 camcorder player lying around I could borrow - I would happily pay recorded delivery there and back Cheers Jay
