  1. Airbox and battery out ahead of prep for engine pull Manifold off Alternator, Aircon pump and pipework off - Aircon will not be going back on Headlights and centre grill out. Aftermarket oil cooler removed as well, as there will be a 6 speed manual transmission going in no need for that to go back on. Radiator had a leak so that will be replaced. Bumper removed
  2. A bit of a catch up..... Car as it arrived Here we go.... Its been sat for a while, lots of rusty parts and a few oil leaks but body work seems good underneath
  3. TDR Warwick, Area 52 Notts, Pole Position at Wolves (Although PP have mixed reviews)
  4. Wow - I had no where near that much difficulty, having got the lever out the circlip should be easy to get out
  5. looking good!
  6. try contacting ESL - Enduring Solutions limited in Cambridge, they may be able to help with an ECU mod which will support you doing your own tuning.... Other than that I would look at the more expensive Link ECU option which a capable piece of kit
  7. Are there any codes generated - do you have a reader?
  8. All good points to rule out What is the mileage on the car?
  9. feel free to start a build / project thread to track your progress. Dependent on your driving style you will find the RX soft with excessive roll. consider suspension and ARB upgrade. I also found the brakes give great feel but they do fade on a spirited drive
  10. It depends on the part number, they do vary - for example the WRX S has the R180 rear diff the same as the STI but others have have an R160. Also dependent on rear diff also means a potentially different diff in the gearbox.
  11. Hi - There is a cars for sale section I suggest creating a thread there with details, photos and a price
  12. Good chance its the driveshafts unwinding and nothing to worry about - If you have cyclic clicking when driving forward that will be a cv joint - grinding is a bearing or brake dragging / worn pad
  13. Wotcha and welcome - the GX is an older impreza but with the same NA engine configuration you have. your model series RX 2.0 Normally aspirated engine WRX 2.5 turbo engine, stiffer springs and thicker ARB's WRX STI 2.5 turbo engine, more power, bigger hubs, turbo, intercooler, different body (Wide) compared to RX / WRX
  14. I might have someone who has one he may be selling - was discussing it with him last week. Ill let him know you are looking
  15. Well that I can get photos of 🙂 - I know where that is 😁
  16. If it is the hard line / pipe from the brake master cylinder to the flexible pipes I shared earlier I would go to a dealer to get a reference number or look for someone breaking / part out a wrx
  17. Unfortunately not ☹️ - found some out and it was not amongst them.... Will continue the search this weekend
  18. Ignore my previous answers.....Just seen your location, try these 🙂 https://www.ebay.com/itm/300938083023?epid=1217829100&hash=item46114ebacf:g:s-oAAOSwlMxh16E6
  19. Fuji racing option, slightly cheaper but I have not used this product although I have other fuji racing branded parts. Select Impreza GD/GG 00-07 https://www.fujiracing.com/product/brake-line-kit/
  20. Here is the HEL option, running their product on my motors They do have sales and offer discount codes every so often if you are prepared to wait....The ones I had have expired unfortunately https://auto.helperformance.com/subaru-impreza-wrx-sti-2001-2007-braided-brake-lines
  21. 😁 - soooo guilty of this if you are looking at replacing the fluid I would check for leaks on the rack itself, there are rubber o rings in each of the connections - They may well be as hard as the one you previously replaced
  22. Great to hear - always better when expectations are exceeded 🙂
  23. Great job, let me know if you would like this thread moved to the Project / build thread section 👍
