  1. Wotcha and welcome - So it has not won you over instead of one of your others?
  2. Think they were 5x100 it was later STI's that went to 5x114.3
  3. Thats it and as you find things out you can add to the sheet over time
  4. Yes they are height adjustable - If you are intending doing some track time I would look at the more expensive option with damping adjustment that @Dr. Acula mentioned
  5. Finally!!!! - My customary greeting, wotcha and welcome....... Now I can start clearing SVX photos off my phone 😁
  6. This is what I was sent.. "TEIN street basis z is absolutely spot on for daily use - 3 of us have them"
  7. - Of course and pinned already 😉, ill look for the updates....
  8. I post any work done in project threads - If you plan on modifications it is great way of sharing your progress The daily The project
  9. The TEIN product is TEIN Street Basis Z, ideal for a daily apparently
  10. Not too many - When it comes to upgrades its a slippery slope 😆
  11. At the moment the same all around, still getting used to the car and have not started tweaking yet - It is still on the standard ARB which I feel is letting it down so I think I will do that first then start tuning the damping, oh also I have a 14+ rack to go in as the steering is not quick enough for me, particularly when you start to get a little more spirited 😁
  12. If you are going the lowering springs go for the shocks to match as well - The ride will be change due to OEM damping being setup for the OEM spring rate. There was a bilstein eibach kit from litchfield which addressed the handling by lowering the front slightly, firming up the ride and adjusted the damping to compensate for the spring rate. I am running cusco coilovers on the daily, standard ride height as running a splitter and some of the places I go the speed humps and pot holes would have it off, ride is firmer but not crashy - good as a daily option but I can dial in a firmer ride if I know the roads These are the coilovers I have on mine but look at the tein option as I think they are slightly cheaper - They also are getting better feedback than BC Racing at the moment https://www.cusco.co.jp/en/catalog/street_zero_a_blue_red.html
  13. Depends on your budget, coilovers can be argued better than lowering springs as you are not changing the damper to suit. TEIN are getting good feedback at the moment, I am running cucso on the daily with no complaints. A thicker ARB on the rear will help tighten things up and stop pushing the front end as much
  14. Wotcha and welcome. Do you have the advert for the car as that is a reasonable starting point - The accuracy can be verified as you spend more time with your motor. Next the receipts, ignore any servicing, separate out repairs and engine work. Has the car had a tune? If so look for engine parts, turbo, pistons air filter or air intake parts. That should get you started. It is worth getting it all listed in an excel spreadsheet as the same questions will be asked at renewal or when / if you move to another provider
  15. Yes always worth checking 😁
  16. Wotcha and welcome - It may not be that serious, you can get a kit to do a pressure test on the coolant system to help find the source of the spray and rule out head gasket issues Keep us posted on the progess
  17. Wotcha and welcome - Hopefully someone from your part of the world will be along to assist with your question
  18. Brake bleeding kit is an old jar and some tube, no big expense there, yes the caliper tool is a good idea I have made do with large screwdrivers for years but teh ebay ones are now really cheap and do the job with a lot less bother. Sky, now safely do an agreed value
  19. Wotcha and welcome - great motor there. I also had a rubbish expeience with Flux, went with SKY now Safely Insurance much better service a reduction in cost. With respect to the car servicing I would say look at brakes first as not being able to stop your car in good time is never a good position to be in. Dependant on your toolbox and willingness to get stuck in the brakes discs and pads are quite straight forward to do yourself. Doing the fluids again is not a huge job to do yourself but teh plugs can be a bit of a faff, I undo the engine mount bolts and jack the engine up at an angle to be able to get into the hard to reach plugs.
  20. I have got the Perrin shortshift kit for the later hatch so not the same however the quality is top notch and the installation instructions were very clear. Also mine does adjust the height of the gear knob 😁
  21. Yes it is a flawed model that is for sure - a well maintained car running decent petrol can have very low emissions
  22. A small thing but was irritated by the oem plug that had corroded so changed to an alloy option from HEL And back on the car (I didnt pull the diff to change the plug - I was measuring up for an SVX 6 speed conversion)
