cant say I noticed one of those with mine - check for local subaru dealer and book it in with them.
an aftermarket map (JGM or equivalent) might be in order as it might be the standard map needs a few tweaks?
a long shot could be injectors need a clean but that would depend on mileage
I had that with my halfords one - paid £30 and it came to pieces - did me for a bit but thats when I went a bit more heavy duty with the MM item, I have had it for a few years now and the model number is the same but they may well have changed suppliers since I purchased mine
I know it was originally a forum perk when getting going to attract new members - As we have now got a really good following of solid regulars maybe it is time to change it - I think the post count as a minimum would be good
download the tapatalk app and access the forum via that
to post pictures upload them to a hosting site such as photobucket and then post the 'IMG' links in the thread
It would be exactly what I am looking for however Im not quite in the position to make an offer - If things change in the next few weeks I would be arranging a viewing - rest assured, but at this point I am unfortunately still to be classed as a dreamer / time waster
From a conversation when Fozzy was selling his coilovers (cant find the thread now) he said teh units from his blobeye would not fit a classic.
What I do know though is if you have the engineering capability you could modify the mounts to take the later units - ideal if you wanted to fit later hubs and bearings etc
Had one of these for years well worth the outlay

If I was buying now I would go for this but I dont think you need the low profile with your motor

Wotcha and welcome - it is unlikely the map has corrupted of its own accord the ECU's tend to be quite robust. As the car has run fine for a number of years with the map it is probably something else
Are there any engine codes that have been generated as this could point to an issue??..
If the car was mapped with the current filter in place I would keep it as is - possibly clean or replace the old filter if needed.
When were the plugs last changed?
It might also be a coil pack breaking down
Check the MAF sensor is working correctly also - disconnect whilst the car is idling - what is the result??
really looking the part there Matt - top job, would be interesting to see how some dished alloys would look instead of the flat spokes, give the impression of depth, possibly a photoshop job for someone with the skills
could be the cover mounts need tightening?? but that may not cure it if they have gone a bit hard, even if replaced during the engine rebuild 6 years doing nothing could affect it
if the rest of the car - engine sound / perfomance etc are ok its probably age related - an investment in some gasket sealant and new rubber would sort it for the next few years
Mate dont you know it - watching so many choice machines coming through this part of the forum has been a test I can tell you but hopefully things may be taking a turn in the near future and I can get something sorted ;)
The helicoil thread you replace it with will be stonger than the alloy originally stripped, just take you time and ensure everything is drilled and tapped square otherwise you will be putting uneven pressue on the repaired mount
