  2. looking spot on - that red really sets it off
  3. lovely motor - good luck with sale hope you get what you want for it
  4. What about this one - lovely example - clearly looked after http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/7465-2004-wrx-sti-for-sale/
  5. Fonzey did have some BC ERs for £950 which would fit yours, serious kit for a great price as he hardly used them - drop him a PM http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/user/2017-fonzey/
  6. Wotcha and welcome - that is an awesome motor there - real menacing, feel free to get involved with the forum :)
  7. Wotcha and welcome - what size do you currently have - is it standard? Do you have any other mods done, feel free to post some pics and get involved with the rest of the forum
  8. are they not just alloy - not chrome - if alloy go with auto solve and elbow grease, it can work on chrome also but is a little too abrasive so I wouldn't recommend it. If it is alloy and well past it you may need to take them off and get the polishing wheel to them (not the fins on the intercooler) get the metal to an even finish then use very fine wet and dry to give the dull factory alloy finish. the dump valve I would remove, strip down and polish
  9. pretty much covered it there Gambit - only thing I would say is dont forget to share, get a project thread going and we can all follow the progress ;)
  10. I would agree with that - great showman but as a rally driver Higgins excels
  11. Wotcha and welcome - lovely motor always pays off in the long run if you can be patient - although I do struggle sometimes myself
  12. Check out savages thread on his build - porting and polishing does feature but what I would say is you are potentially looking at the sum of all parts - ie one part in the whole induction system will not make a differenece
  13. very very nice that - I know one of the chaps was looking at a more stealth look which those skirts and the boot with lip spoiler would fit the bill perfectly
  14. Mine also arrived today :)
  15. Wotcha and welcome - your reputation precedes you, great to have you onboard
  16. Wotcha and welcome!! Pete may be along soon or some of the other chaps down your way who could recommend a good paint shop
  17. Wotcha and welcome
  18. Wotcha and welcome
  19. Bang is referring to the use of Iconel instead of stainless or mild steel for the engine exhaust valves - that material can withstand higher temperatures so if you replaced your existing valve train with ones made of Iconel you could run the anti lag for longer periods. with some ECU setups you can have functions and different maps activated by a switch. for normal running I wouldnt worry too much about antilag particularly if you use engine braking, launch control could be fun but again you would need a sequence or a switch to activate it other wise every junction / set of lights would be a full on grid start launch
  20. also burns more fuel
  21. that's pretty much it - a named brand - pipercross etc will give you a quality product but the cone filter on its own doesn't do a great deal - you may need to look at the inter-cooler pipe also if you fond no improvement once you change it
