  1. Wotcha and welcome to the forum - it is very easy to pass comment about which side to pass on sat in a comfy chair, whilst rules are there to ensure common practice on tracks the track days I have attended always put the safety first so if passing on the right going down the straight at Brands Hatch meant avoiding the grass on the outside of the chap who had run out to near the edge then that was fine. Just glad you all came through it ;)
  2. Thats a clean motor good luck with the sale
  3. Wotcha and welcome!!
  4. some photos may help to sell your motor
  5. Jay762 replied to quit's topic in Junk Room
I didnt know they did them either, I wonder if the turning circle is better than the saloon as you buy an estate for some form of practicality even if it is an evo
  6. depends on the model as a widetrack blob STI would handle and stop better than a hawk wrx
  7. if you are going as far as removing the head get them skimmed before replacement but also check pistons and liners whilst you are digging but to be honest if you are going as far as removing the engine and the heads I would do a full strip down and rebuild checking rings bearings, crank etc but that is just me as you will have done most of the work removing the heads its not much more to split the cases
  8. As Stants said - you will probably need the loom piece to connect it in
  9. lovely lovely lovely - but I am biased :D
  10. seems a little high that, it can be a bit fiddly and we have had members wind the socket out into the side of the wheel well swear profusely and have to wind them back in. I dont know how good with a spanner you are but it is a straight forward job
  11. Wotcha and welcome Matt - being a professional take a look at our detailing thread, any extra tips you would care to share would be great other than that feel free to get stuck in ;)
  12. looking good - tidy car, just the bumper to address really, those rims look in really good shape. I wouldnt worry about a remap best spend teh money on a good service - oil plugs filter etc maybe getting the injectors cleaned
  13. ahhh yes I remember very nice motor indeed
  14. there are a couple about, top dollar of course
  15. its the rear diff and you are correct it should not be leaking
  16. Wotcha and welcome Sounds like bearing or transmission but bearings tend to grind more than whine, try getting the wheels off the ground and spinning them individually check for play and any grinding / whining.
  17. I follow a slightly different order as I was advised brakes are liked diagonally to stop the car from spinning I do ns front os rear then os front ns rear. the main thing is do all of them and keep an eye on your reservoir so you dont suck air in to the system again ;)
  18. Wotcha and welcome - yup share those pics and feel free to get stuck in - any plans for mods or keep as is?
  19. what am I looking for??
  20. some older ones before he started adding to it http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/5360-piccy-of-my-daily-drive/
  21. had a think about this and only thing I can come up with is over sized wipers or aftermarket motor linkage arms which increase the distance the blades and wiper arms travel
