  1. used to use this technique for bearings and gauge internals on board, one of the first things I was shown 👍
  2. I would suggest getting some molyslip - high temp grease. This is the stuff I use to lube the same type of valve on my motor bike
  3. Wotcha and welcome - Do like the subaru black - does yours have blue and gold flecks in?
  4. Wotcha and welcome. Eibach springs work well with standard shocks and dont make the ride too hard. I think they are a more moderate drop - not 40mm. Feel free to create a build thread to share your progress
  5. I have used EBC in the past and not had issues, I use EBC pads and also dont have issues but I know some people on social media will have different opinions. https://www.ebcbrakeshop.co.uk/info-brake-parts?make=SUBARU&year=2011&model=Impreza&engineSelect=2.5+Turbo+WRX+STi&engine=2.5+Turbo+WRX+STi&bhp= I would avoid the drilled option as I had drilled and grooved but found cracks appearing at the holes also they blocked up with brake dust quite easily so in effect became pointless. There are various options (as you have probably found) for grooved discs. Godspeed get good reviews https://www.godspeedbrakes.co.uk/261-discs- I have used Tarox in the past and had no issues ttps://www.tarox.co.uk/?filter_disc-name=g88&s=subaru+impreza&post_type=product I currently have AP discs my sti which have the alloy centre.
  6. Hi - looks like some form of power valve controller that changes the profile of the exhaust which removes flat spots inherent in NA engines?
  7. nightmare - can you get something in just to pry it out and stop the rubbing until a repair can be made?
  8. I am a big subaru brand supporter, the AWD system and flat four / six configuration is great in petrol guise. I would suggest you do some more research on subaru diesel engine / gearbox failures - Unfortunately there is a lot to read
  9. There is a difference between the WRX STI and the WRX S / WRX / RX models (wide body vs narrow body). The model variant selected is WRX S which I understood you were looking at, not the STI
  10. This is correct - check this site to see all subaru PCD info plus very useful for wheel offset detail https://www.wheel-size.com/size/subaru/
  11. Wotcha and welcome, Not got a scoob diesel myself however on my diesel van issues with glow plugs were traced to the supporting relay, so the issue may not be the plugs themselves. Dependent on mileage it may be time to replace them anyway?? The jumper instead of a fuse is not great - indicates an earth somewhere which def needs investigating as an earth can turn your wires into smoke generators - this is not fun and makes a funny smell
  12. here you go check out autodoc https://www.autodoc.co.uk/westfalia/1369651
  13. Hi - pretty sure you can, looked into it for my NA, single exhaust outlet but still a large silencer behind the bumper - Think I have a link somewhere....
  14. Possibly an NA on lodge lane around 15:00 ish - Super clean! 👍
  15. Wotcha and welcome, looks like some mods already in place. Feel free to start a build thread to share your work 👍
  16. Wotcha and welcome - From what I remember when looking at a blob / hawk sti there were quite a few differences, particularly in the chassis area. I stand to be corrected but here goes: Turbo - bigger on the sti Intercooler ARB's are thicker Bearings are larger - as such pcd is different Some chassis parts are alloy - lower wishbones? possibly different brake calipers - not sure on that one Probably a few more things - possibly struts and springs
  17. Wotcha and welcome - Havent a clue on the badge but hopefully someone will be along to help 😁
  18. I do like the the midnight purple GTR's so why not go for it 😁
  19. Wotcha and welcome - Can you check for any engine codes? It sounds like its running really rich, I would check the MAF sensor
  20. Wotcha and welcome - I have not used BONOSS spacers only H&R, however as long as they are a correct fit on the hub and used with a correct size spigot ring for the wheel I would consider them as an option
