  1. looking good - cant tell you what the bracket is for though
  2. Rotas get my vote but all three look great so you wont make a mistake with any of them
  3. sage words indeed - I concur as it is not just limited to your industry
  4. one point when you do replace the clutch skim the flywheel to ensure it is completely flat as that will increase wear on the plates

Agree with Bman there - thing I like most about the vid - the tiny green start button - its the little things :P
  6. Dog, hats off chum - unfortunately it is the difference between having the qualification / credentials and being able to apply them in the appropriate situation and someone who has done the course so therefore they must rigorously apply the framework / theory / approach to everything. Bosh - I went for many years thinking everyone had common sense as a natural commodity - I have since learnt they dont - I have met individuals who you couldn't trust with a sharp pencil, very nice salt of the earth do anything for you types but a crayon was safer for them and super intelligent think tank boffins that you couldnt wave at across a road as they would walk straight out into the road towards you still waving oblivious to the bus heading for them. PS isnt WD40 - water displacement experiment / trial number 40 and is made from duck oil? smells almost as nice as gun oil (yummy)... but not quite.....
  7. Welocme back - sounds fair - check the underside as being an import it may not have been undersealed, Matt will hopefully be along with some sage like advice ;)
  8. does sound like a DIY job - which isn't the end of the world as you have said as it still a nice motor
  9. genuine hefty chortle
  10. guys these posts are hilarious I bet the chap (or chapess) diligently ensuring the plastic tubing was earthed had a full ensemble of PPE head to toe flourescent gear and the area cordened off :D
  11. good luck with the sale - they obviously need a refurb but they may be just what someone is looking for
  12. Magnex manufactured a great product dont think they make ones for Subarus anymore - not listed on the website http://www.magnexexhausts.com/ Scorpion as an option as well - Imola or Suzuka tail pipe styles (both single round one larger than other) http://www.venommotorsport.com/manufacturer_product.php?manufacturer=Scorpion&category=exhaust&product=ExhaustSystems&make=Subaru&model=Impreza
  13. Wotcha and welcome - 1st place to try is the MAF sensor, disconnect it and see if the car still runs, second easy one check your earth points are good and not corroded
  14. liking what you have as inspiration - will look very menacing - RS200 a beast indeed and looks in great condition It might be worth posting in the wanted section for the exhaust - it will get greater visibility
  15. The prodrive upgrade may well have included the uprated fuel pump already but if it is not supplying the correct pressure it may need changing - this you will find out when having it mapped. I wasnt suggesting an injector upgrade more a clean to ensure they are performing as they should. Miltek again great product but you pay for it. Nothing wrong with the Ninja if that is your preferred taste. Dependant on what model Afterburner you buy it will be cat back or not - obviously if you buy a back box only it wont be from the cat back but if you buy the cat back package it will be
  16. from a fitment and performance perspective it is their equal - they may weigh slightly less so if you are in a stripped out light weight that would mean something but given there is very little to the afterburner I don't thing you would be able to tell in a normal car. As mentioned before Scooby world are good to talk to - when I have spoken to them in the past they have been very helpful, check these out http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=24_53 for what you want / need I would go for the afterburner product and spend the money saved on a session with JGM or an alternative as you may find to take full advantage additional expense may be needed on servicing injectors, replacing / uprating fuel pump and air filter
  17. looking good - will make a great car for someone
  18. clearly articulated by Dave - nuff said
  19. I think the subaru vs ferrari car the subaru is a long way from a standard model - side exit exhaust plastic windows equal length headers - some serious work gone into it, that is probably why it absolutely spanked the prancing horse and why the lambo face off was closer, still prime examples of bang for buck investment being better with the Japanese models
  20. great way to do a project instead of hunting bit by bit, looking good so far :)
  21. Do you have some photos you could share?
