  1. I know this one but never watched it but if we are talking special suger lumps its all about these guys http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMpu8jH1LE8 thsi is the one where Ermintrude eats too many poppies... ;)
  2. I used Hankook years ago as I understood they were a budget brand for Yokohama, never had any problems with them nice and sticky - I did hear they made them not quite as good because they were out selling the Yoko's however just had a look and for around the same price (below £70 fitted and balanced) you could look at TOYO proxes CF1's or Yokohama C Drive 2's - I think it would depend on your driving style if you prefer lower noise and fuel economy to outright grip I use this site as its quite a good one for info and comparison then you can shop around further if you want to squeeze the price http://www.blackcircles.com
  3. no response at all will serve to annoy more particularly if the feedback does not change.
  4. I got these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400380971959?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D400380971959%26_rdc%3D1 from this shop - great service really quick despatch http://stores.ebay.co.uk/hidsdirect
  5. Camshaft location bracket
  6. Wotcha and welcome - I don't but maybe someone will be along in a bit with something suitable
  7. it might just need a bit of penetrating oil on the mechanism, as it is the most used motor it may just have a little too much friction for the motor to deal with.
  8. wow that really is unacceptable - also does show what a moron the guy actually is as stated before it is easy to get his address through paypal
  9. I don't think that would stop the car as you are driving along - maybe to have it run lumpy or not on all cylinders but I believe your problem is common to the whole engine, a sensor defective somewhere that has killed the engine but as you are returning zero EML faults I, as suggested, would rule out the immobiliser first
  10. useful to know will watch out for that pillock
  11. Yep, really like the colour, nice!
  12. I preferred this ;)
  13. must admit I'm stumped you have fuel and a spark - after it cut out whilst driving - only thing I can think of is a split tube somewhere leaking all the good stuff before it gets to the chambers
  14. So I remember all of these but I was inspired by this ;) giving it stacks in a rear wheel drive coupe and kids on bikes wayhay http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFlmEznsr2w
  15. or this one for £105 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Impreza-P1-WRX-STi-Type-R-Spec-C-RB5-GC8-EJ20-EJ25-New-Sump-With-Bolts-/350716496308?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item51a85509b4 you could spend the money saved on a performance baffle to keep the oil in the pan http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-COSWORTH-EJ25-EJ20-OIL-SUMP-BAFFLE-IMPREZA-TURBO-PLUS-WRX-STI-P1-/271153460322?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f22017462 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tomei-Powered-Oil-Control-Sump-Baffle-Subaru-Impreza-EJ20-EJ25-/271111396315?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f1f7f9bdb
  16. that's the problem with jap cars they don't leak oil had the same issue on my 200sx however would this one for £35 quid not do the job? http://www.subaru-impreza-parts.co.uk/products/subaru-impreza-parts/subaru-impreza-engines-for-sale/ej20-sump.html give it a once over to get any corrosion off and high temp hammerite it
  17. Subaru has a history of what is termed as badge reengineering, the saab 95 which came out that was a Subaru, Toyota Camry's being built at the Subaru plant in the states, they have multiple stakeholders which until quite recently included GM. I didnt realise just how many people have fingers in the Subaru pie
  18. I dont think you will have a problem with an STI TM intercooler, the engine layouts appear to be consistent throughout the range banging that turbo on though carries a serious smile risk so be careful ;)
  19. excellent - right Ill get onto ordering some of that - might try the muc off I have fro the bikes whilst I'm waiting for it to come through see how that does
  20. I do :P but I'm old
  21. probably a good clean would cure it
  22. It does indeed look v clean - seeing yours I and some of the others on here, like Mels, I need to work on the engine bay bring it up to scratch. Hadnt thought of washing the car again after using clay bar but I suppose it would take off all the excess will do that next time
