  2. Brilliant to hear!! does seem to be a failure that throws up a lot of issues the old MAF sensor
  3. Wotcha chum - so all you good work has been for a great cause, point your mum in our direction as Im sure she will want to understand the finer points of four wheel drifting :P Keep your eyes out for the right car - you have already turned one example around sure you could sort another one without too much hassle ;)
  4. hold on thought I had managed to relocate all the posts - first time pressing this button - !Removed! amateurs I dont know
  5. Subaru VDC is Vehicle Dynamics Control - similar to traction control and stability management on other cars They all look pretty similar - as Gambit says our resident experts would have to expand on details but I was looking at both the black one and the silver VDC to be imported as an option for the father in law
  6. sounds like leaf or leaves trapped either in the fan or in the trunking, does it change pitch when you turn the fan up or down / disappear when fan turned off?
  7. New thread created from unreleated mid thread post - looking to get more visibility... Jay
  8. Thanks for your input - and if you ever fancy a bit of strange you know where to find us :D
  9. ahhh yes that would explain it - had that before myself - but on teh upside its another easy problem solved :) Diz scoobies are known to have knocking coming from the shocks this vid explains it as it may be relevant to yours...
  10. Now that made me chortle - loving the way it was played down  wrt the vid - definately the bug bitten there - cant see it being long before you are browsing the small adds
  11. Wotcha and welcome - I know they are popular but those rims do set a scooby off
  12. Thats awesome - I think your garage roof has a bit of a leak though :D
  13. Getting on plan - sounds good - you will have a real quality piece of kit when completed :)
  14. My advice would be - deep breath, take time and as you have been doing take photos before things come apart then you have something to reference on reassembly :)
  15. Just because something is rare doesnt necessarily make it a good thing - but on the other hand sourcing an Apexi pro ecu is no great task. As Gambit said if he has all the paperwork to demonstrate work done that will derisk the sale somewhat but having a quick look around the web today there are many examples out there to choose from so make sure your friend is completely happy with his purchase for him to pay top dollar
