  11. great use of child labour :D
  12. Now this one I do know - Scum
  13. that does look like it will need welding - don't know if it is an MOT failure but that is a big hole to fill
  14.   funny typo (at least I'm assuming it was a typo)
  15. you might have a noisy bearing, thin screw driver on pump and against ear will help with that but otherwise it will mean taking it off to check pump wheel etc
  16. easiest way is some clear tubing on the return line to the radiator that way when the engine is up to temp and the thermostat opens you can see the liquid flowing into the rad. you can pull the covers off and check the pump itself is being operated by the belt, this doesn't rule out an internal failure though
  17. it sounds like the coolant isn't flowing around the system - if you have already changed the thermostat I would now investigate the pump itself
  18. replace the filter then monitor - unless you know it has only recently appeared, if that is the case fit a catch tank and see how much is being blown out of the breather, I have had oil come out during spirited driving around corners where the oil slops about more and gets taken up the pipe by the air flow, it might be that a baffle will help keep the oil where it should be.
  19. does your fan cut in when the engine / rad is warm?
  20. sounds like it would be a breather pipe - you can get a little coming up just through normal usage but it shouldn't be excessive
  21. Well I know that is Denzel - but I don't remember a film with him and the little girl - sounds like I will be adding another film to the must watch list ;)
  22. but some filters eg K&N do recommend a very light oil to capture fine particles
  23. you may well have pinched it going through a pothole :(
  24. Wotcha and welcome - that is indeed a tidy example!
  25. Almost there, not long now :)
