subaru stalking - love it :D
  2. These look great - brilliant effect
  3. Wow - signed up to this already, didn't think it would appeal to anyone else on the site - how wrong was I? :D
  4. I think you will enjoy a turbo version - before you commit too much on the sport take a test flight - ooops I mean drive :D
  5. Sounds like you are in a good position to find the right car for you - as Gambit said I also had to travel to get the right model for me
  6. It might be worth posting a few pictures??
  7. It would depend on your driving style - what do you enjoy and also if petrol consumption is something you take into consideration. before you make your final decision take a test drive in a couple of different models - wrx, sti etc and see if there is a huge difference in your enjoyment then make your choice ;)
  8. for power potential the turbo is the most cost effective way to go however for the sport look to get it breathing and running right - induction filter and performance exhaust, a good service, clean injectors and good spark from plugs. Then look at the handling - shed weight and upgrade the brakes possibly suspension and antiroll bars. That way you improve the power to weight ratio and have improved cornering
  9. Wotcha and welcome!!
  10. that shouldn't affect things too much - you could use a little piece of trunking and set up a cold air feed to link into the airbox like this for example http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RAMAIR-Cold-Air-Feed-Ducting-Intake-Hose-Pipe-For-Induction-Kits-60mm-x-500mm-/350711565838?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item51a809ce0e
  11. Good point - they may fit but due to the differences in the cars they were made for you could end up with a ride that is still too stiff for you
  12. Yes but yours is far more accurate :P
  13. just noticed you may also need to relocate your alarm siren
  14. I think you have it on back to front, if you look in the red engine bay picture the engine side of the tubing is connected in the right angle recess with the fins facing forwards orientate it so the chamfered corner looks the same as below
  15. its normally about 6 - 8 litres but when you do refill have your engine idle for a bit to get any air out of the system when the thermostat operates then check the reservoir level again
  16. that will give you a rough indication as a per cylinder comparison but bear in mind the differences you can get due to battery charge, cranking time, throttle body position and temperature of the engine itself
  17. yup would agree with that :D
  18. a buddy of mine has a track day nova with a quaife lsd fitted - he speaks very highly of the feel and increased traction gained - food for thought?
  19. OK so you may have solved the issue - hopefully the heads have not experienced any damage themselves through lack of coolant
  20. Its a trade off - more money spent initially but travel further with a smoother more responsive engine
  21. no, the difference in the filter is to let it breathe more easily allowing more air into the chambers and a better flow combined with the exhaust change. if you can take a camera with you and get some shots of what you are doing - we like photos on here and it can sometimes help with diagnosing things
  22. agree with that, check around for any leaks / perished / split hoses
  23. Wotcha and welcome - yup agree with above it should work no problem with the tube going where you suggested
