  1. Yes you did - wotcha and welcome the 2.0l gx sport is a great place to start and it does carry the six stars :) and can accomodate your own personal touches, rims, brakes, ICE - whatever takes your fancy
  2. That I dont know but it wouldnt surprise me
  3. yes that has really come together - do like the kenwood gear have got a unit of theirs in mind for my car
  4. my 2p Dont think the standard air box is restrictive in itself - the filter which you can replace with a high flow panel item and the connecting pipe to the manifold can be exchanged for a bigger item will both increase flow. the cold air induction option will give the direct feed of air into your system with a nice bit of trunking so I would go for that as drilling the airbox will be bringing warmer air from within the engine bay
  5. good luck
  6. its all tongue in cheek ;) we found the head of a toyota celica had a kawasaki stamp on it when we took the rocker cover off - the good point is when it comes to sourcing spares you may not need to just look at subaru's if a part becomes defective and you know they are interchangeable between models and given the BRZ joint venture with Toyota I shouldnt have been too surprised really
  7. Looking good - liking the colour - really rich!
  8. How to in photo's remove top centre panel of boot trim pin locations Then remove each side trim and disconnect the rear light cable and rear window spray pipe again pin location Remove the four 12mm bolts and use a tool to pop the two accessible pins (I used pliers) flex the spoiler upwards to free the centre pin there is enough free pipe and cable to do this easily pull the rubber grommet free and remove spoiler spoiler view with all pins and studs - much easier to access brake light now car without spoiler to refit line up spoiler and feed cable and pipe through hole and fit grommet then push excess external cable and pipe into spoiler recess unit will drop into place retained by the 3 pins, refit nuts and panels side first centre last
  9. found this today electric mirror switch Manufactured by the dark side I felt dirty ;)
  10. Wotcha and welcome Liam
  11. yup those pics top my bruises and cracked ribs from MX ;)
  12. lots of daft stuff - went from road to pavement riding one handed (carrying cricket bat) got a bit of a tank !Removed! on - hit concrete lamp post - that did for the crown jewels head down tour de france stylee on me grifter for aerodynamics drifted across road and front ended a parked car. best thing was building fires and ramps to jump through them in the woods - no one ever got injured doing that, go figure - Evel Knieval inspiration for a generation
  13. sorry no where near... 2008
  14. Try this http://www.3mventureshield.co.uk/paint-protection-film/
  15. Wotcha and welcome - I have seen good an bad reports - make sure the fit is good and be prepared to tcut your car as the rest of the car will fade, why not use a clear plastic vinyl instead?
  16. if your running 500BHP that might make it a bit toasty under the hood. if you strip a load of unwanted stuff out to allow air flow, coat the turbo with a ceramic coating or lag it effectively these could compensate for the direct air flow ducted in - you may find there is an issue with getting heat out so might need some louvres in the bonnet
  17. Potential - a true sleeper, this one will scrub up alright!!
  18. Wotcha and welcome - that looks a tidy example I'll bet it was a massive difference going from a Punto to your wagon! Dont think you'll have too many problems bring that to your desired spec. loads of things you could do dependant on what you fancy - my 2p, look at the brakes, get some braided hoses + possibly different calipers and discs to give better feel / bite and a good service, have the injectors cleaned decent panel filter and check when the fuel filter was last changed. You could look at an ECU remap as the standard cars will be set up for economy and emissions so a revised fuel map even on a standard filter and exhaust should give improved lower down torque making the car feel more responsive
  19. Used my chap for years - he is pretty pragmatic about things like this so Im optimistic it will be ok
  20. so in theory fitting an after market steering wheel which does not have an air bag will mean the car fails its MOT if the original has one and any car with a decat pipe fitted will be a fail also. I will enjoy checking the electronic speed limiter of 156mph I believe it is and speedo all operate correctly jeez Id better sort the towbar on my van - i disconnected the indicator buzzer with a view to fitting a dash light - just haven't got around to it yet - that will now be a fail
  21. sorry - I couldn't narrow it down to just one - Im greedy
  22. I subscribe to that train of thought, particularly with performance equipment I like to know that everything is put together right before I start pushing it on spirited jaunts out
  23. and then you could get some money be reselling the redundant ecu
  24. I didnt realise that was the case as have already changed mine for LED bright white sidelights - will check when MOT is and see if they go through, will keep you posted... will get one of those red LED's also as I like the matching clear rear lens - cheers
  25. Wotcha and welcome
