  1. like the cardigans track, - I have a very eclectic taste from steps to slipknot so driving around at the moment Royal Republic is in the changer a favourite is this... if Im looking to line up a nice set of twisties I head for a bit of Skin If Im looking for points I go old school thrash
  2. Sounds like you have something special there - 4 years to find, I hope it lives up to its expectations.
  3. Thats true particularly with those fog horns you have fitted.
  4. Piggy backing ecu's does give some more flexibility but it can lead to fluffyness lower down the rev range because the second ECU is trying to fool the first and you get a delay in the signal flow albeit micro / nano seconds but it impacts fuel delivery. Sometimes these things show up on the dyno but when driving you dont really notice it. Remapping the OEM ECU is more common place now - I dont know about the older ones but if the coding is the same there shouldn't be an issue, next thing would be if a base map is available to start with, if not they would be starting from scratch which would bump the cost up a bit but because the EJ20 and EJ25 configurations have been around for a while there should be plenty of info.
  5. That was just the car scared you were going to hit someone so felt it needed to let people see you coming
  6. Wotcha and welcome, any friend of Scooby Pete's etc
  7. As Gambit said it is what club, user name and date joined - then obviously if they need to validate they can check you profile on line and it will reflect that http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/user/526-markscooby1967/
  8. I purchased this kit so the fluid and clay bars are in one box http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_253057_langId_-1_categoryId_255233
  9. I used one on mine - dead easy to use no scratches and it is amazing just how much comes off the car after you have washed it.
  10. Did you replace the bulb or paint it for the clear unit?
  11. That is a good turn out - that blue classic with the white rims looks particularly tasty
  12. One of my faves is 'the greatest secret agent in the world'
  13. Wotcha and welcome Pete, some great examples there I have got to get some fog light surrounds for mine - more for daylight running lights not fog though
  14. What I have done by accident is put it in 3rd on a few occasions - still getting used to how close the selector gate is on the gear mechanism so I look like a bit of a plonker at junctions
  15. hmmm thats me we have two sets of keys and a keypad but I haven't got the code - will need to get that sorted!
  16. it is scooby - both the gang and the mild mannered janitor Henry aka H-K Phooey (plus others) were Hanna Barbera productions - they make me laugh, well prior to Scrappys arrival that is giving you an insight to the mental age you are dealing with here - its about 8....on a good day
  17. wrt the scoop size for me its more about function first - if I was going to do short twisty tracks all the time I would go for the big scoop get as much air through the intercooler as possible but longer runs and higher speeds I think I would be worried it would pull the bonnet off - when experimenting, on closed private roads , the bonnet on mine was moving around quite a bit once into 3 figures, bonnet pins are now also in the shopping list
  18. genuine - just been watching Hong Kong Phooey dvd with my daughter clearly Im still in Hanna Barbara mode
  19. Wotcha and welcome - loads of advice and support on here
