Impreza EJ20 N/A mods?
The ITB's would be dependant on what your flow requirements are - at a basic thumb in wind check diameter of the existing manifold or an STI manifold (not sure if any difference) take into consideration any increase in size you would be making to the manifold with a porting tool and that gives you a size to start researching what is available. Yes I would suggest an after market ECU to translate x4 feeds from the ITB's, plus if it was me going for ITB's I would be modifying the exhaust manifold with additional wideband sensors to ensure each cylinder is getting the air fuel ratio spot on - otherwise why go to expense and trouble of ITB's? Jenvey are a good make but are at the higher end of the price range. The MAF will depend on how you modify the manifold to accept ITB's - if you integrate and retain a single air feed to the manifold you could keep the MAF

Wotcha and welcome. if you are looking to remain NA there are some interesting things you could do but they can be expensive. Individual throttle bodies oversize valves ported inlet skim the head then fit high comp pistons polish / lighten and balance the rods and crank (possible knife edge grind crank?) cams can vary in profile so dependant on what you want the engine power delivery to be lift and duration will vary - ultimately you could go for a bespoke profile to suit your requirements but if it doesn't have the variable valve timing sticks (AVCS) you could put that in place My 2.0 NA RX allegedly has 156bhp from factory As you are doing as a learning experience check and see if it has a rear thrust bearing fitted - if not that could be your first mod What ever you decide keep a camera handy as we love a good project thread on here

First Subaru, any advise welcome
Wotcha and welcome - as above hi flow panel filter, cat back exhaust (when your existing fails) for a little more rumble is as far as engine needs to go, look at chassis mods, brakes, ARB, suspension could be a bit firmer - think about power to weight ratio, where can you drop some weight. But if all you do is spend money on giving it a full service, replace all the fluids, spark plugs, dependant on mileage the belts and pulleys etc that is ok With my RX I didnt think the alloys filled the space enough so I bought some spacers, haven't bothered with any power orientated mods

Thought these would be a standard fit item across the range - any chance of a photo then members who have pulled the panels off before can maybe identify an alternate model? ahhh I will raise that with them then if needs be - cant see the point if they dont work as they should do - particularly as it is not a cheap piece of kit. It wasnt for any performance gain as its an NA car but more for it being stainless steel (shiny object )

What time is enough to warm up subaru legacy twin turbo?
easy enough to fit an oil temp gauge to be absolutely certain but I would drive after a minute of two but not boost / high rev until happy the oil was thoroughly warmed up

cant decide resonated vs non resonated cat back system, I was tempted to go up there and check out a sports cat replacement but I will see what the emissions result is and condition when it goes in for MOT next week They have some comparison videos on the site, just not in the same video segment

The future?
no more head gasket failures.... Given the components to make the batteries are as finite as oil I reckon the hydrogen fuelled is a better long term investment - a greater supply, water as an output reaction, no brainer. Only problem is the patents are held by big oil co's and every time someone invents a variant they keep disappearing or dying in strange circumstances.

fixing your own engine will give you a known good unit to start again plus you could upgrade some parts at the same time, possibly rectifying why the engine failed in the first place. Also the numbers will still match on your motor.
