Couple of guys on here print vinyl stuff- they might have something. At last I bring some good news! Well, in a way. This evening we took the water pump out to find the impeller inside wasn't attatched to the shaft at all, meaning no water was being pushed around the engine once up to temperature, causing the overheating and thermostat/blocked rad type symptoms. I'm possibly the only person to be genuinely pleased that my water pump is knackered. Also took delivery of some nice silicon pipe work off another GTB that was being broken, so my engine will not only work, but start to look quite good too

I'm 100% up for this. Hopefully my car is too!

Are we going to try and go for a stand for this? If numbers are down I know UKLegacy are looking at booking a stand now, so they might need their numbers topped up a bit?

Bad news- the car overheated again today. Good news- it's not the head gasket Bad news- it's the water pump. Good news- the one on my old block is sat in the shed!

Oh no, I just realised I won't be able to get in early not being on the stand! What's the best way to get in without be held up for ages in traffic? Anyone got a couple of spare seats me and my girlfriend can jump in if we leave her car outside?

I'd imagine that would only happen if there was coolant going into the oil? Which, at this point, I'm lucky enough not to have. It really does just need to be a quick fix to get me through its MOT in a couple of weeks, then I can do something about getting it sorted properly.

It's looking more upsettingly likely that my car isn't going to make it. However, I can bring my girlfriend's KA up so at least I can actually get there and enjoy everyone else's nice, running, cars. I'll know for definite tomorrow though.
