Some decent tyres will make the world of difference, made mine feel like a completely different car. Upgrading just your springs might be the way to go, most performance springs have a progressive element so they stiffen up the more you lean on them. Regards the anti roll bars, there was a post on here a few years go from @stants if I remember correctly. He changed both front and rear anti roll bars for thicker ones and it improved turn in feel. I think he coupled this with changing to poly bushes as well, which is another area to look into.

Managed to convince the better half she wanted a day out on Dartmoor... gave me a good excuse for a good spirited drive. She must’ve enjoyed it too though, I even got her to take a half decent picture for me.

The reservoir being lower than the pump is a pretty shocking design really isn’t it?
-
Plus you’ve got a great excuse to drop a 6 speed box in 😉
-
If your fluid’s got low, chances are it’s drawn some air into the system, try refilling and bleeding it out. Mine took a while to bleed after I moved the reservoir to get my radiator out

Glad to hear it!

Hi, welcome to the club. I was torn between a 3.0 Legacy and my Impreza when I came back to Subaru. I had a Haynes manual for my gen 2, it was an American one and was pretty pants to be honest. No such thing as a stupid question, ask away!

Thanks @ROSSCOSM the picture is pretty flattering, the paintwork needs a LOT of tlc!

Gave it a quick jet wash at the garage then set out trying to find somewhere to get some nice pics. Took a wrong turn and ended up back at home again so the drive will have to do 😂. Here she is complete with new black wheels fitted last week. Now im trying to decide whether to tint the rear windows and/or debadge the boot... 🤔

How did the mapping turn out?

Glad to hear you’ve got it sorted! Although these are fast becoming classics, they were never really popular enough in their prime for people to have kept the demand for parts, hence your predicament. I hope you can keeping it running for many more years

Do these have the on board basic diagnostic thing for your check engine light? Two plugs under the dash that you plug together and it flashes in sequence to give you the code... if you can check that it should give an indication of what’s wrong, thus what it operates?

Sorry to hear this... sadly don’t know the area very well but I’m sure we have club members around you that can point yourself in the right direction. Sounds more like an exhaust leak, a boost leak you’d feel while driving. Did they put a new gasket on the turbo end when they fitted the new down pipe? If you have no luck on here with finding anyone, it could be worth having a look on Facebook (if you’re on there) to see if there’s any local clubs that can help you out with recommendations.

Welcome! With regards your oil changes, if you’re in a good habit of doing it that often anyway, you’re best to stick to it! I tend to use Millers, Opie Oils have a club discount if you get it through them 👍

Welcome on board. My knowledge of this is very limited, sadly. Cool little cars though. The Suzuki Swift was the equivalent to the justy, but I believe it was only the later mk2 that was the same.. Ebay will definitely be your friend here. I believe this is the part you need... https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/233146251857?chn=ps&ul_ref=https%3A%2F%2Frover.ebay.com%2Frover%2F1%2F710-134428-41853-0%2F2%3Fmpre%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fwww.ebay.co.uk%252Fi%252F233146251857%253Fchn%253Dps%26itemid%3D233146251857%26targetid%3D595627755033%26device%3Dm%26adtype%3Dpla%26googleloc%3D1007073%26poi%3D%26campaignid%3D1701291960%26adgroupid%3D66589449352%26rlsatarget%3Dpla-595627755033%26abcId%3D1140496%26merchantid%3D114970764%26gclid%3DCjwKCAiA2fjjBRAjEiwAuewS_RISnskHIUgnxbo4W8bMGD5cuG1W8ihBPiE862XT8sXf-QUgotylGxoCsloQAvD_BwE%26ul_ref%3Dhttps%25253A%25252F%25252Frover.ebay.co.uk%25252Frover%25252F0%25252F0%25252F99%25253Floc%25253Dhttps%2525253A%2525252F%2525252Frover.ebay.com%2525252Frover%2525252F1%2525252F710-134428-41853-0%2525252F2%2525253Fmpre%2525253Dhttps%252525253A%252525252F%252525252Fwww.ebay.co.uk%252525252Fi%252525252F233146251857%252525253Fchn%252525253Dps%25252526itemid%2525253D233146251857%25252526targetid%2525253D595627755033%25252526device%2525253Dm%25252526adtype%2525253Dpla%25252526googleloc%2525253D1007073%25252526poi%2525253D%25252526campaignid%2525253D1701291960%25252526adgroupid%2525253D66589449352%25252526rlsatarget%2525253Dpla-595627755033%25252526abcId%2525253D1140496%25252526merchantid%2525253D114970764%25252526gclid%2525253DCjwKCAiA2fjjBRAjEiwAuewS_RISnskHIUgnxbo4W8bMGD5cuG1W8ihBPiE862XT8sXf-QUgotylGxoCsloQAvD_BwE%252526rvr_id%25253D0%252526rvr_ts%25253D4f8b3d161690ad4d18656d41fff02a42%26srcrot%3D710-134428-41853-0%26rvr_id%3D1883621316228%26rvr_ts%3D4f8b435c1690ad4ae7916f18fff453c4

Replaced the horrible budget tyres that were on it with some Goodyear Eagle F1s. They came on a set of standard wheels but in black, looks much better and feels a lot nicer to drive now. Forgot to get a picture though 🙄. Also discovered a wheel but with no thread left in it so I’ve ordered a new stud and nut, gives me something to do next weekend!

Welcome along! Plenty of knowledgable people on here to help you out.

I’d be up for this!

Welcome. Without seeing the issue it’s difficult to say in all honesty. There’s a few different ways there can be smoke from the exhaust, either oil (will give you a blue-ish smoke usually when you’re accelerating). Alternatively white smoke is water... this can either be coolant, although as you have no other symptoms of this and the car is so new it seems unlikely, or it can simply just be condensation in your exhaust. Colder and wetter weather this time of year will make that more prominent, if you’re doing a lot of shorter journeys or don’t drive the car that often more will build up and can take a while to “burn” off. Ultimately though, if you’re unsure take it to a mechanic for peace of mind! Hope this helps.

Very nice! Welcome along

Managed a 140 mile round trip faultlessly this morning, so I thought I’d treat her to a quick was this afternoon. The paint on the drivers door was looking pretty flat, almost like somebody had left a load of t-cut on it in the sun... So I had a go at it with some paint renovator then a finer polish, then over the top with a wax. While I won’t profess to being the world’s greatest detailer, I can say it now looks a lot more presentable from 20 yards. I’ll probably just get a replacement panel at some point in the future though.

To be fair it ran fine, just couldn’t drive it too far 😂. Yeah fuel starvation would be my first thought in those conditions. I’ve heard previously that keeping the tank over half full will help, or if you’re going to be tracking it regularly a swirl pot might be a worthwhile investment.
-
Worst feeling! Lack of leaks is pretty impressive though
-
Actually drove it for the first time in a couple of weeks! Finally sorted all the little leaks in the cooling system and it’s running beautifully. Perfect day for a little spin!

I played in ps1 and Greece was the one for me
