  4. hahaha, down boy!
  5. haha hawk spec c ;)
  6. Added mine :D
  7. yeah they ae pretty cool but dont really ant the 2.5 issues so shall got to another plan
  8. On impreza's yeah. not on forresters though, http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/subaru/forester/2004-subaru-forester-2-5-sti-jdm-6-speed-manual-new-cambelt-a-c-fresh-dry-import/4856395
  9. not that familiar with eculabs software tbh, whats the tech support like for the mappers that use it?
  10. not really common enough to find one with a duff engine. tbh if you were going to to that may as well buy an sti and drop 2k into getting the dodgy bit sorted. dunno im only pondering on options at the min. want a reliable awd daily that wont cry when snow arrives lol
  11. what options? you mean open source? thats knocked of ecutek software lol
  12. not sure whos mapping at zen now? paul's off working for ecutek
  13. meh, shall knock that on the head then
  14. Is the 2.5 sti engine the same spec as the uk impreza 2.5 engine? aka does it smash ringlands an headgaskets?
  15. what did you expect, subaru are doing their utmost to put themselves out of business :(
  16. ignore power figures, just drive an enjoy :)
  17. Tbh on the standard tubro i would really ignore the peak figure, drivability and response is the best improvement you get with the map
  18. only 100% way i to look at the vin number, 16 digits uk car, 7 numbers and its an import. Jap cars have strange looking vin numbers. Totaly different car but you can see the jap style vin.
  19. It varies from car to car, I've seen one that would do more than 245bhp without detting :o Simply put not all cars achieve those figures so expect around 260 and anything else is a bonus, also varies from dyno to dyno.
  20. Standard turbo is unlikley to see 300, more like 260 ish with a td04 on a classic. Thing with the first map is it make a massive difference to responce and how it drives. O would be an electric aerial on rear quarter on a wrx as well
  21. O easy way to tell ont he classics if its uk or import (unless been moded of course) is none of the UK models had rear wiper
  22. Ah k yeah that changes things then. To clarify, in the classic shape, WRX and STI are japanese import only models. Uk only had the UK turbo and P1, all the other specials like series macrae, catalunya etc were just cosmetic upgrades with optional prodrive upgrades, such as the PPP, based on the UK trubo. P1 was based on a v5 sti Type R with some of the goodies removed (such as dccd) and more sound deadening. Uk didnt get wrx and sti till the new age shape, 2001 onwards.
  23. o wagon was different again, iirc that was 240bhp in stock form
  24. o my bad hahaha http://www.impreza-wrx.net/specs/1999_sep/specs_wrx/
  25. Go ask the question on 22b where most of the well known mappers like Andy Forrest and Paul B frequent mate, Andy F called him Dung khan after seeing some of the cars he's mapped.. He also doesnt road test after dyno mapping and you do realise that your have no insurance cover while hes mapping your car on the road if your driving it?
