  1. Being a full rebuild unless they are only a few months old, cambelt, tensioners etc etc tbh sounds liek they are doing a cheap job, ask for your money back and walk away

which car? colour that is and i can prob tell you lol
  5. ticked the counter over to 40miles to first oil change :D
  6. as above, depends what plugs they were inc or + vat etc etc
  7. cheers :D
  8. 54/500 miles to go,,,,
  9. yeah fair call that. tbh i would sack the vf48 and chuck an aftermarket one on and swap out the injectors and then get it mapped, the graph on min is a sc46+ on low boost, forged 2.5, 3 inch decat, sti inlet manifold, sti top mount and perin inlet pipe. Injectors gave up the ghost at 330bhp though. May find its time to go aftermarket ecu as well, will be struggling to cope with it. can tell from my boost afr graph the ecu was struggling with the fueling as the boost came in
  10. oil pressure is one of those things that by the time you realise you have a problem, its already too late. i can't rememeber what i got on my classic cold, but warm when engine revving was about 6 bar.
  11. headgasket on a 2.5 is full rebuild mate inc bottom, don't accept anything less. Sounds like who ever has advised that is clueless. ask for a full rebuild or your money back and walk away
  12. about 15 miles so far,,,,,,,, hahaha
  13. i believe 9 of the 10 22b.com subarus and all 10 of the r35's were running syvecs at ten of the best this year. bit of an accolade that lol apparently they are in most of the top tuner cars out there now, mikee's drag car, and f's drag car, even gobstopper 2 is now running one. and that doesnt include allt he lambo's, r8's etc that now have them
  14. Depends when you dig into it mate, i asked pat that very question and while it does the same things, it does it in a different way which isn't ideal. Bit like the difference between a syvecs and alcatek, while broad strokes they do the same thing when you dig down into the spec and such they are very different. as always its cost vs features/performance, its why syvecs isn't cheap
  15. s reg will be a version 4, which the standard ecu isnt mapabel. the choices you have are to put a daughterboard in ESL etc or aftermarket ecu (funny we were just talking about this on another thread lol) personally in your shoes i would go aftermarket via alcatek. Other option is syvecs but that will be alot of money
  16. perfectly capable for a near standard car to be mapped though, (decat, panel filter) once it goes beyond that i'd be wanting to go afterkarket ecu anyway. personaly i;d just go the extra mile for a syvecs though
  17. welcome. get it back all fixed?
  18. i bought mad max for £12.50 so been playing that, magnum opus for the win :D lol in case anyone else wants, http://www.cjs-cdkeys.com/products/Mad-Max-CD-Key-For-Steam.html
  19. welcome, summit wrong with the way it was run by the looks of it, bhp/ftlb crossing point is in the wrong place. should cross at 5200rpm ish
  20. tbh bit of a waste of time, you can ecutek the standard ecu for the same money, or alcatek isn't huge amounts more and is a much better option then either.
  21. haha yeah, up to about 290 done now, so first nearly at first oil change then onto the second 500
  22. welcome to the site :)
  23. Depends what you want from em and how hard you hit em, can't beat a nice set of AP's or D2's, stay clear of ksport though, the dust seals on em are !Removed!
  24. most of the braking on a subaru is done by the front, so some simple groved ones (stay away from drilled cos they have a nasty habbit of cracking) will be fine.
