  1. Welcome! I think Scoobyghost has covered it so just hope you find the niggles and enjoy the car. Also let us know how you get on, it will help others diagnose similar issues. Hope you enjoy the forum
  2. Welcome! Nice, enjoy as it was intended!
  3. Yep, my bad. Tell your insurance company about the brakes too and everything else you may change, performance enhancing or not. I've forgotten in past until someone's said.
  4. Its nice and like you say not that many about.
  5. Welcome! Great looking example and great miles! Hope you enjoy the forum.
  6. Like you say good news really and should be ready for the weekend
  7. 100% yes. Mine ran terrible when I bought it due to the map. Idled really badly and ran really rich. I had a few hours of rolling road time to get it sorted. See how you get on with Steve and if not you'll have to find another mapper.
  8. Welcome! Looks really nice, the spoiler especially! Im sure your chomping at the bit now. Look forward to hear how you get on with it.
  9. Did you get anywhere with this?
  10. Welcome! Car looks tasty! The calipers and discs are a nice upgrade and can be found for £500-600 ish, example below. Your discs are 294mm and you'll go to 326mm . Id keep the wheels and get some spacers, I think 5mm should be ok but hopefully someone can confirm for sure. That way keep it looking original! Maybe look at some alternatives longer term. My Rota's clear fine. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMPREZA-FRONT-4-POT-BREMBO-BRAKE-CALIPERS-DISKS-WRX-STI-22B-P1-JDM-TURBO-/252390030476?hash=item3ac39e3c8c:g:xcwAAOSwxfNXN4Za Not sure about head lights but Im sure someone will have some advice. Hope you enjoy the forums
  11. Welcome! Looks the boobies. Not jealous at all!
  12. Welcome! Glad your enjoying your Subaru! Hopefully youll get to something this year so we can see it. Enjoy the forum
  13. Saw it on the big screen yesterday at Captain America, looks so good.
  14. @mfnick got a pic of the 2? Sounds strange.
  15. Welcome! We're all patient here! You are right, Blobeye Wagon is what you'd most commonly refer to it as. If your searching for exterior bits then yours is a 'GG' model to be more specific, so look for Blobeye GG or Blobeye Wagon (and or year maybe). If you want a sportier look then try and find a WRX bonnet with scoop, bigger alloys from same period turbos and maybe a boot spoiler to finish it off. I like the front bumper on yours as it is btw. You can pick a cheap exhaust back box to give you a better tone. My advice is not go too mad and over the top, keep it simple. Try breakers that may have the same colour cars being broken. I hope you enjoy the forum and dont be shy to dig in.
  16. The twinscroll is a single turbo its just described that way due to the nature of the turbos workings. The twinscoll are the newer model to the twin turbo (post 2003) and definitely the 'easier to live with'. There are indeed manuals if thats what you want but I would say they are the harder to find variant. If you are happy with the tiptronic then the one you found looks pretty good!
  17. Welcome! The Foz STI would be my choice but obviously the most expensive! The Leggy TT is probably the most likely to cause you running issues lol. What about a Leggy Twinscroll? You could probably find one less than the Foz STI and will still give you good space and be less 'in your face'. They are still 280bhp so def good fun!
  18. Depends I think on what version you pinch it from but someone else will know more. Can't see the cost being drastically cheap.
  19. If you've got £3K + then def go for it! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1993-to-2005-Subaru-Impreza-wrx-STi-JDM-6speed-TY856WB4KA-Gearbox-Kit-DCCD-/181933898667?hash=item2a5c1afbab:g:NUkAAOSwcdBWSf6M
  20. Welcome! Hope you enjoy the forums.
  21. Could be mate, doesn't take a lot. Can't think what else it could be.
  22. Sounds like your missing a shim. Thats why when you apply the brakes it stops. Had a similar thing a while back with one of my cars.
  23. Yeah man thats what I thought!
  24. Welcome! Looks like a winner Short notice but Japfest is on this weekend at Silverstone is you can make it and come see us on the stand.
