  1. It's a drop in filter so it'll need to be same size as original
  2. Dimensions of the filter
  3. Eurocarparts says it will. But I have been screwed by them before. The intake looks completely different to me. Someone else could probably shed some light more than I can but if you measure yours I'll check mine no prob
  4. Untill you pull the filter and measure it I would say no. Different setup to the 2.0
  5. @aucky fixed. Removed the lid completely 6 screws to take underside of lid off. 1 screw holds the top of the lid on after that's removed. Left with a metal hinge still attached , if you can remove the back section of the trim between passenger foot wells, I couldn't get it off so had to bend the top back, there's 3 screws holding the hinge in place. All had come a tiny bit loose. Half turn on each jammed it down solid. Rebuilt and now it latches . You can still pull the lid up with a little force but it's just bendy thin plastic but atleast now it doesn't spend all its time bouncing around or popping up.
  6. yeah i did that, when it was hot if i gave it a little tap with my fist it would stay untill i hit a pothole. so i put some force down and it left a good 2-3 inch split down the middle hah think ill strip it down today. fit it with magnets or something
  7. yeah thats gonna be an issue, itll be drinking fuel if its getting abuse, im down to 20mpg and under if i kick it in a bit too often. havent heard a 1.5, think itll be the same size filter as the 2.0? if you can tell me the size of yours ill go and check mine, i use a foam pipercross one. also removed the bottle under the airbox. made it louder but it was slower at high revs so put it back on
  8. i dont think anyone will ever buy an impreza for mpg apart from the diesel maybe, even in a NA 2.0 the petrol makes my wallet cry, but for me it was the AWD and i always wanted a subaru even if it is a baby for now, could have gone for something else with the same power and alot cheaper fuel easily but i imagine we all have our reasons for getting one. but it feels solid, so far completely reliable and the engine grumbles along nicely no matter what i do to it. never once lost any grip either. wouldnt even consider changing. out of the 2 options i would go wrx without hesitation. hopefully i will be moving onto a wrx or sti in the future, soon as possible. never seen someone look unhappy driving one. just my opinion :)
  9. Hitty missy with me but if there's a date I'll do my best to get out
  10. thanks that is something i would do. i already cracked my centre console trying to make it latch shut. has never shut properly since i got it. doesnt take pressure well
  11. champion thanks alot mate
  12. yeah its a pretty thin and weak coat. thinking of looking into that carbon fibre wrap for the trims sometime. on the test drive i was told to use b for a more accurate count. whats the milage on trip a? mine was showing 29mpg but over 8000miles so no matter how i drove the figure didnt alter. trip b i reset each time i fill up so the mpg will go up and down more frequently.
  13. according to parkers its 1310kg. little lighter than me, how do you find the interior? just developed a seriously annoying creek somwhere on the passenger side of the dash. i do it the old fashioned way and its usually 1-3under what the screen tells me. are you on trip b?
  14. now thats a stunning car, full on stealth mode, untill it revs i imagine. winter is probably best meet time, itll only be us on the road. no annoying bmws taking over the right lane haha
  15. sorry to jump in on this but how do you take the washer covers off? desperate to get in and clean the radiator and do something to the grills. darent pull any harder or stick a screwdriver in. thanks
  16. heavy car small engine, do you have to give it a bit of a kickin when driving around? i get atleast 5mpg more when im in the flat south. hills up here cripple the fuel for me. what fuel do you use? try running some redex type stuff through see if it improves. im due putting something through might drop into halfords tomorrow
  17. I have to 2.0 I got 30-32 average untill recently now I get 25-28 and that's driving like a full on Eco nut. Wondering if I did something wrong with spark plugs or if it's just the colder weather 7c average when I'm driving lately how long have you had it? Not sure about the 1.5 but on mine if you as much as put a feather on the throttle it'll drop to 5-10mpg then cruise between 25-40mpg when you don't touch it lol. Would expect yours to be higher definately than mine
  18. Changed plugs on my 2010 rx few weeks ago they had black wet looking threads too. Was told it was normal
  19. thanks had a look but it looks a bit different. found a samco radiator hose for the wrx hatch, might send them an email think itll be closest or ill try bending my own. slight differences in thicknesses in pretty much every different pipe on the car, awkward sods designed this haha
  20. Measuring for hoses and copex since my awkward car doesn't have a kit strange how coming out to sort a scratch led to this instead
  21. Is there a bottom grille to match this available? How is it fitted? Thanks
  22. Was gonna get this for a laugh
  23. Regional county/Borough/District: Durham Car Model: Impreza hatch 2.0 RX. Any Mods: Panel filter, strut braces. Painted stuff blue if that counts, more to come. Picture:
  24. I got the hks one because it has a magnet in and said higher oilflow. Whether it's any good I have no idea won't find out till I have a problem or do my next oil change
  25. Washed and hoovered then taken to mot. Hate mots lol always had bad luck with them. If it passes I'll have a celebratory drink and the car can have some vpower. If it fails, sainsburies standard unleaded.
