  1. Gotta watch out for them damn garage doors getting tighter while pulling in too
  2. Damn that's stunning . I would probably sell my butt cherry for this
  3. Painting in the dark last night as per, more blue!
  4. Nothing special just took out insurance. Then made the fatal mistake of curiously looking what it would cost for a 16reg 2.5 Sti. £110 more. Gutted. Anyone wanna buy a car? Lol
  5. Haha ahwell not far off I'm 25, but only really remember the fiesta mk4. Lol he's just looking at you with jealousy
  6. haha i think your going a little before my time tbh lol. though i could just drive around with half my exhaust off. happened to my mate last night, perfect setting, mcdonalds carpark, load of muppets about in their mums corsas etc, exhaust fell off his citroen 1.4 xsara lol sounded unreal, showed them all up haha.
  7. Fair enough just my opinion like. Aye sounds like a plan think I found and exhaust just need to send the seller a message see if it'll fit. Thanks
  8. Nowt wrong with a NA :D I was surprised at first by how many people do have them. Not sure on the gx but the rx hatch weighs nearly 1400kg. Drop some weight and it would shift. Very helpful people on here
  9. Yeah mines the same but I followed the holes where the air comes in and it's a joke. The bonnet covers that feed pipe and its sealed when the bonnets shut. Only the top three grill holes let air in and it's against a flat framework so it doesn't even angle up into the feed pipe
  10. That explains why putting mine in the garage didn't drop my insurance. I was always told it should but atleast it's not just me. Do a mr bean and put a padlock on the door. From reading the manual the Subaru system seems more than enough even has a sound sensing option. Been looking for a tracker but had terrible Experiances with them at work showing things are in different country's to what they are and flattening the battery fully after a few days standing.
  11. Na just the standard 150bhp. Unless the panel filter gave me a major boost lol. Probably pointless anyway since 99.9% of air goes to radiator and 0.01% if I'm lucky actually goes up into the intake. Stupid design the framework doesn't even angle up towards the intake it's just flat metal with tiny gaps leading straight up. Need to leave the bonnet on the latch to actually get any air directly in. Surely the wrx and Sti have a better intake system
  12. Hi please can someone shed some light, I'm looking for an induction kit, seen some universal ones in halfords but not sure if they'll be any good. Had a look at k&n but they are all for the wrx/Sti and come with pipes that won't fit mine so seem like a waste of money. I already have a piper cross panel filter in the box but the air intake sucks. I toyed with a second intake but there's nowhere to run one with how the radiator sits and no access to the front grills. Rather not start drilling holes in the bumper or removing the guard under the front end with how much it rains After the winter I'll be getting an exhaust and remap since mines rusted as hell anyway. Get salt for 4-5 months on the roads so no point doing it yet. Thanks
  13. Sadly the sticker won't go inside my back window so it'll just have to go there.
  14. I'll check my manual. Sure it said something about alarm activation with diff colour lights
  15. both of yours are sounding alot better than mine. think its time to sell some swords and buy an exhaust
  16. Na I do high mileage and im 25 went for that thinking better for an allrounder. Though so far I can confidently say I won't be going to another car maker and I'm only gonna go up from here hallelujah you just made my night lol
  17. Do you need an auto? I have the 2litre rx manual and it's actually got some grunt, get it going and it'll take off pretty well. Granted it's not in league with wrx and sti but it holds up more than well enough against cooper s, bmw one series etc etc and in corners it takes down most, love it when a merc overtakes then slams on in corners I'm on them like a fly to !Removed! wondering why they bothered
  18. Ah right. 2.0 NA, are they still an issue with ring land failure? Naturally the dealership told me nothing of this big issue or any others
  19. might have to consider refitting it then, removed but put a mesh over it so water could still drain away. think its actually losing pressure aswell, debated running a second intake to the hole but cant find anywhere suitable to run a pipe. oh hell thanks for the info, i presume 'wot' is throttle? ill go back to lower gears keeping up the revs, runs better that way anyway and strangely fuel efficiency goes up.
  20. Before, after, fitted and messed up, gonna keep taking pics at night can't see where I touched the paint lol. Will put up a pic tomorrow when it all cracks off hah
  21. Only time I ever tried to paint cast failed miserably even after cleaning the surface still came away with metal dust. Could be lifting while baking? Have you tried just letting it air dry overnight?
  22. What material are you trying to paint? The jubilee clips I did went !Removed! up when touched. Didn't stick to the surface and lifted off when touched got some of their brake caliper paint hope it takes. For the two plates on side of the engine/intake manifold I got some extreme high temp stuff from hammerite. Takes 24 hours to harden.
  23. Which paint is it and what are you prepping with? Painted my mates engine cover and some other bits all rippled up and tinged black in places. High temp my backside.
  24. @Jay762 am I right in thinking the wrx parts will fit my car but sti won't because te front end is wider? Looking at some zunsport grills but they look like they fit ontop of the existing grills instead of replacing them
  25. Thanks all for the help
