Yeah i knew the timing belt would have to come off but it was changed last year and its only done 5k since it was put on, however i'll check to make sure its not been contaminated with the oil leak but its not been leaking that long so hopefully itl be ok, also kind of thought i would take the rad out, make life a bit easier thing is i've just done a coolant flush and refresh so going to have drain it all out again and it was a right pita to bleed 😠😠

Hi everyone as the title suggests i think the front crank oil seal is starting to go on my classic ej20 as theres a little oil coming from behind the timing cover just below where the crank is and its using a little oil not much as its not dripping onto the ground yet but after a spirited run i get a whiff of burning oil and i think its dripping a little onto the header which runs from the passenger side, just wondering how hard or easy it is to change, icp sell them for 6quid i think so going to get one, i'm a mechanic so going to do it myself however trucks are my thing so don't really know my way round cars enough to know what kind of job it will be, any advice is much appreciated ☺

Not sure about all the plugs but that thing by the airbox looks like a 2port boost solenoid and i don't think it should be held on with a cable tie lol it should bolt on to a bracket around that area 👍

Not been on for a while but aye you're right great result for ash @ oultenpark hopefully he can keep it going and carry the team to a good finish, we are off to croft in just over a week can't wait i do love a race weekend and we have also been invited back to lazer tools racing after the hospitality @ thruxton what a friendly team they are, made us feel right at home, off to the super touringcars on sunday @ knockhill with a grid walk in there to make it even better, will get to meet the likes of gabriele tarquini and frank biela absolute legends so should be really good they also got old f1 cars going round the track, really looking forward to hearing those big v12s and v10s screeming round the track

Yeah the gc8 mate, i used the lift at work so that might of made the job a bit easier,if your doing it from above then the battery and washer bottle would probs have to come out for access, i used a spark plug socket and a really short extension so that when attached they were basically flush with the rocker cover then managed to get my ratchet on, then a few turns and they were finger tight, removed the ratchet and unscrewed them with the socket and extension then opposite way to put them back in, bit they are a pita sometime you just have to stand back with a brew, swear a few times then try again 😂, you'll get there it is possible haha

Is it 6 speed as i'm sure the sti box has 6 gears however i may be wrong as i don't have an sti, someone will be along soon to help out further 👍

Done full engine service , an hour and a half to change spark plugs( stupid !Removed! things would be ok if i was a wee jap boy with tiny hands 😂😂) and half an hour to do filters and oil, now running as sweet as ever 👍

I bought these a few months ago from lateral to go with a set of yellow 440's, i've not fitted them yet though as can't get for a remap till later on in the year but they look the part and the service was spot on and they arrived next day so really can't complain 😁

Thruxton this weekend and we will be there woo hoo 🤗, also found out today the missus has won hospitality tickets for race day courtesy of lazer tools racing team, getting picked up.at the gate and taken to the hospitality suite then breakfast, full pit access, grid walk, 3course lunch and free drinks all day i've been buzzing all day since finding out really can't wait now its going to be an amazing weekend
