Hi All!!!

Brake squeal
It could be one of the caliper slides thats tight or seized as that can make the brakes squeal unless you have 4pots then just ignore me lol

Impreza tuning
Welcome along, hope you get the right motor soon especially as you're already buying parts 😅, if you decide to go for the earlier classic uk2000 i think they may run the td05 turbo which is the same turbo which is on mine but i have an import so not sure if the jap ones run the same set-up or not someone will be along to correct me if i'm wrong, they seem to be able to handle the flutter better than the newer turbo's so i've read anyways as i love the sound of the flutter and have been undecided so far as whether to do it on mine or not, however as sandy has said it does put alot of stress on the turbine as it can stall it, happy shopping and we look forward to pics 🖒🖒

winter collection begins
Just a quick update on this been really busy with work so this has been the first chance to get on with the scoob, i've just ordered a load of stuff from icp, service kit, up-pipe gaskets and studs and all other required gaskets to do the job, some heatwrap from opies and a walbro 255 from scoobyworld since the previous owner was talking bulls**t when he said it already had one, just have to get on the phone to lateral performance on monday to order phase adapters since i don't seem to be able to order them online for some reason, i'm going to be a busy boy in the next couple of weeks

Removal of rear window panel.

Removal of rear window panel.
Welcome to the club, i had exactly the same problem when i bought my classic last year and the previous owner had covered them in crappy stick on carbon fibre wrap stuff, to get them off just peel the window rubber back and theres a few screws that hold them on, i gave them a sand down with some wet and dry sand paper dried them off and a clean with brake cleaner, then used a old metal coat hanger and bent it so i could hang them up then got a rattle can of matt black, now they look good as new

I've also been looking at catch cans and from what i've read they take out all of the oil vapour from the likes of the breather pipes like you said and oil blow by, which is the oil passing the seals on the turbo when running higher boost the oil vapour then gets recirculated back through the inlet and messes about with the octane rating of the fuel and can cause detonation, @aucky don't worry mate i'm sure the motor will pass no probs especially if my old v1 wrx can pass with no advisorys
- loving my scooby
