Why not get them wrapped in vinyl or dipped with a carbon effect, a lot cheaper than actual carbon ones.

Got distracted looking for pics for the bodypaint thread :) Products used: R222 Total auto wash (Non-toxic) & 303 Aerospace Protectant http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/r222-total-auto-wash-cat2.html http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/303-aerospace-protectant-cat19.html Shop around can be got cheaper than links R222 Total auto wash. 1. apply this liberally to your engine compartment, ensuring anything sensitive to liquid is covered obviously (cone air filters etc) - Leave for 5 mins after spraying (do not allow to dry) then agitate with a brush/sponge etc while removing with a light water spray. 2. Leave engine bay to dry, or dry manually with a soft cloth. 303 Aerospace Protectant 3. Apply this liberally to all surfaces within the engine bay, plastics, metals, the lot - Allow to dry - 1-4 hours. Ignore what the product labelling says about wiping on with a cloth and polishing off...just spray ensuring a good coverage and leave. 4. Cup of tea. 5. remove any overspray on non-engine bay paintwork, or windscreen with a soft cloth. 6. Another Cup of tea cos you're done. Start with a warm engine as it helps the 303 to dry quicker. Try not to get too much oversrpay on exterior paint, as it will remove most polish systems also. Won't harm the paint though.

You could change the back box without getting decat centre pipe or down pipe, this wouldnt require a remap and would increase the noise. You will not get the burble of the older scoobs as this is down to the earlier models having unequal length manifolds, they where changed to equal length as this is better from a performance point of view. You can buy unequal headers and get the burble back, they cost a lot and would require either ceramic coating or exhaust wrap to reduce the heat and remapping as you have changed the breathing of the engine. no performace benifit just a whoosing noise when coming off the gas. As Gambit the top one is the HKS but they nare rare 2nd hand and expensive new. DO NOT buy a cheap copy from Ebay.

being picky I would get rid of Sainz and replace with Soleberg giving us the 3 scoobie champs. Or Just have Richard and Colin on thier own.

If they do it properly they have a special pump which vacuums the air out and replaces it with nitrogen. They don't just put the tyre on and pump it up with nitrogen ala fith gear.

Is it actually blowing there? It could just be the heatshield thats rotten not the actual pipes. It forms part of the header system. It's the right hand manifold It connects to an up pipe which goes to the turbo. The stock ones are multiple parts, but if that's really bad then the other side is likely to be as bad. They can be replaced with an all in one. You would need to either wrap it with exhaust wrap or get it ceramic coated to reduce the heat coming off it.

its a hill start mechenism that stops the car rolling back on a hill. not sure why it wouldn't disengage.

I ran an HKS mushroom filter on my classic for years with no issues. I did remove the backing plate from the vent on the bonnet to allow for heat dissipation and better cool airflow to the filter.

That's easy it was built end of 97 and was sold the next year before July so registered as an 98 R plate. The year for "R" reg ran from July 97 to August 98. So it's a MY97 :)

Think I paid £92 per corner. Get them delivered then fitted by local ATS or kick fit. Ask for nitrogen instead of air. Nitrogen is an inert gas so does not expand and contract with temp. Means your tyre pressure is constant.

Find the tyres you are interested in and look them up on that site. It's reviews by the public not the trade.
